Hunapo

• His forehead marking glows whenever experiencing a strong emotion (Any emotion). He therefore tries to keep it covered or control his emotions in order to prevent it from doing so. He sees it as a sign of weakness due to his mentors calling him out on it happening as a child. 

Hunapo is a secretive, rather pretentious man who is most certainly confident in himself and his skills. He looks down on others until proven otherwise and tends to make plenty of enemies thanks to his rather blunt nature and view that actions exceed words and respect must be earned through your choices, not what you have to say.

He is disciplined, focused, and dedicated to his craft practicing fighting skills and imparting these skills on others as he is able or wishes to. He isn't exactly a great teacher- not because he couldn't be, but because he's not personable enough for most to want to deal with in exchange. He 

Hunapo was chosen at an early age to guard a shrine in the north of Ipus, one that contained an ancient artifact capable of 'summoning' the great goddess. He was taken in and trained by the masters there to protect it, learning many fighting skills in order to achieve this.

Though he never believed in the artifact's power- and though that protecting a silly old feather was a waste of time, he did so diligently anyway because of his dedication to his duty and because he could recognize the hope that he gave people. A way to call to the higher powers in the most desperate of times.* Plus, he never knew any other life and wouldn't know where else to go anyway.

He never goes far from the shrine, and as such anyone seeking his skills must come to him in order to obtain them. He knows one day he'll have to train a successor.

*This eventually does happen, upon the breach of the great war when demon hoards begin to plague the land. Hunapo is the remaining guardian at the time and he chooses to turn the feather over to humanity in order to call for the aid of the goddess. To his surprise, it worked.
