Val

A dead fae who haunts the earth in search of their long lost lover.

Personality

    Val is an easily embarrassed being who struggles in social situations and wishes nothing more than to find their lost lover. They are not keen on interacting with those who are not of Fae or divine origin, but they will do what they must in order to find the one they seek. They are loyal and just, though their sense of morality is often not aligned with the most common perception of "good" and "evil." Once they have their mind set on something, you'll find it near impossible to persuade them otherwise. 

Interests

    Painting, sketching, singing, writing, petting animals (especially cats), taking walks during light rain, stargazing

Dislikes

    Work, stress, the Sharknado movies, the lack of accurate depictions of deities in media, people who mistreat their animals, willful ignorance, large crowds

 Backstory

        As a young one, Val lived in a small, quiet village within the Fae realm. They didn't have too bad of a time growing up there. Nothing special or interesting really happened until a wandering deity showed up unannounced and uninvited. The villagers were not fond of strangers, especially those of divine blood, and promptly requested for the god to leave. The god ignored their requests and chose to enjoy his time there for a while. During his stay, the god grew fairly close to Val. They got along well and were even rumored to have romantic feelings for each other! This did not settle well with the other fae, but it did not bother Val too much. Days went by, and weeks passed. Before they knew it, Val's lover was gone. He disappeared into the night without a trace. Honestly, what else was to be expected of a wandering deity? But even so, it broke poor Val's heart.

       With the disappearance of their loved one, Val could not sit idly in their home. They gathered their courage and decided to set out on a journey to find the god. They needed answers; they needed closure. Why did he leave? Did he still love them? Was it all a lie? These questions haunted Val like a vengeful spirit. Ever since then, the loyal fae has been traveling the world, searching for the love they lost. It is unknown how, when, and where Val died, but some say they died of a broken heart.
