Melinoe
Melinoe In the aftermath of Sol Regem's fall, Melinoe found herself accused of conspiring against the Sun King. Brought before Luna Tenebris for trial, she faced a harsh fate. Instead of immediate death, it was decided that Melinoe's body and soul would be separated—a fate deemed worse than death. As one of the few remaining earthbound First Elves, Melinoe held invaluable knowledge of early Xadian history and magic. Recognizing the importance of preserving such knowledge, Luna Tenebris decided to separate Melinoe's body and soul. Her lifeless body was placed in a casket and sent deep into the southern gulf of the Spinning Sea, while her soul, memories, and wisdom were bound within the confines of a tome, being dubbed as The Tome of Melantha For centuries, Melinoe's book remained in the custody of Luna Tenebris and her council. However, after the fall of the Lunar Queen, the time was entrusted to Lux Aurea for safekeeping in the Grand Bookary. Amongst countless times and literature, Melinoe's book began to fade into obscurity, its pages and chapters torn out by those hungrily seeking knowledge. Covered in dust, she was eventually forgotten, a relic of the past. It was only a few years before the events of The Dragon Prince that Melinoe's time was stolen by a young Moonshadow Elf. Curiously, the elf showed no interest in peering into the book's contents. It seemed like he was hesitant to peer inside. It wasn't until Melinoe attempted to communicate with him that he finally acknowledged her presence. They shared a unique connection—the first since Luna Tenebris who was one of the only people who could hear the voice of the tome. Over time, Melinoe traveled alongside the young elf, gradually warming up to him and later learning his name, An'Nur. Melinoe affectionately dubbed him "Noor'' as a sign of their growing friendship. Currently, Melinoe remains in the care of Noor, their bond strengthening with each passing day. Joining them on their journey is Artemisia, a young Earthblood Elf from the kingdom of Evenere, she became one of Melinoe's companions. However, Melinoe's name eludes her, as that particular memory was ripped out of her book. As a temporary solution, Noor and Artemisia simply refer to her as "Mel." Getting the nickname from the title of the book. Together, Noor and Artemisia traverse Xadia and the human kingdoms, in search of Melinoe's scattered pages. Their ultimate goal is to reunite the torn fragments and restore Melinoe's complete memory, allowing her to rediscover her true identity and the person she was before the pages and ink. 1. Trivia AppearanceDescribe your character's appearance here, as if you are describing your character from a novel with no pictures to see. If this description is not long enough the image will continue into personality, but will not cover the text. It just might look a little off. However, if you don't have a full body render available for your character, you can always leave the a href and img src blank (basically, just leave them as a href="" and img src=""), and so you won't have to worry about making a lengthy description anyway. Alternatively, you can change the width of the image. It's currently set to 150px wide, but if you can't think of enough description and don't like the way it looks when it pushes the Personality section to the side, you can make it something like 120px wide to shrink it even more. Don't worry about the size being small if you need it to be, as long as you have the a href part of the code, anyone can click on the picture to see the full size. If you're not sure what kind of stuff to describe for your character, take a look at the way the canon characters' appearances are described on the wiki. It should help you a fair bit. Depending on the width/length of your character's render, you may need 2-3 decently wordy paragraphs to keep it from bleeding into Personality. I believe in the power of purple prose :^) PersonalityPersonality description here. Again check out any of the main characters for examples, or if you're looking more for a simpler description there are some side or supporting characters who have much more straightforward descriptions.
Skills and AbilitiesStar Primal ConnectionReason for connection to the primal (ie Earthblood Elf born with it), when they are strongest, how the primal connection benefits them. Magic MasteryThe list below is for magic users, delete it if OC is not one, or repurpose it for something else if you'd rather (like if your OC has a lot of equipment or something). This box scrolls.

•Melinoë may derive from Greek mēlinos (μήλινος), "having the colour of quince", from mēlon (μῆλον), "tree fruit".[5] The fruit's yellowish-green colour evoked the pallor of illness or death for the Greeks. A name derived from melas, "black", would be melan-, not melin-.[6] |
