Laktdi

Laktdi is a very laid-back person who loves to have a good time and do things at his own pace. While he tends to go with the flow and take it slow, he is capable of being hardworking and serious when needed. He’s very extroverted, although his demeanor may not show it at times. He tends to keep quiet and listen to others but is often more animated and talkative with those he’s familiar with.

Laktdi is 6’5” and heavy set. He is considered short by Lalai standards. He has beige skin, bright red-orange eyes, and shoulder-length, dark reddish-brown hair, often worn as a short ponytail with bangs. He has a short beard and is very hairy all over, especially his legs and arms. He has top surgery scars on his chest (double incision, curved and separate).

He often wears brightly colored, patterned button-downs and shorts with a pair of sneakers. Sometimes he wears gauges in his ears and paints his nails plain colors. He also occasionally wears brown, rectangular glasses, though he often just wears contacts (only for sight, never colored).

Laktdi grew up in Po’i:, a small city in the nation of Ka:biko on the planet Lalai. His father is Lalaisi and his mother is Zilcola. They met on Earth, eventually moving together to Lalai.

Laktdi was always the kind of kid to play around in the mud, looking for worms and other insects to observe and make little pits for, often spending his time near the forest by his home. Sometimes, he’d pick up random plants and fungi from the forest to try and eat them as the concept of poisonous foods wouldn’t really come into his understanding until later in life. One day he found bright blue mushrooms that looked unquestionably unnatural; he ate them anyway.

Strange creatures began to appear near his house, though only he ever seemed to be able to spot them, and if his parents or anyone else tried to find these creatures, they’d flee. For others, it may have been traumatizing, for Laktdi, it only made him more curious and more interested in the unknown and paranormal.

This interest in the paranormal led him to have a deep fascination with the funerary rights of his people. He attended a university in Ka:biko majoring in mortuary sciences and religious studies with a focus on Ka:lzhi religion. During his sophomore year, he went abroad to Earth where he met his future fiancé Bayani, who was also studying abroad in the United States. The two kept in touch as they went back to their respective universities. Eventually, they began dating and moved in with each other some time after graduating. The two moved to the island of Luzon in the Philippines.

Before joining Felhzverse, Laktdi worked as a funeral director in Luzon, as well as a Laka:l translator for businesses in Manila. He was also a frequenter of conspiracy theory and paranormal activity forums in his off-time, which is how he found Lenox when they advertised the organization to such forums. The post piqued his interest, leading to him reaching out and helping them found Felhzverse.
