Personality
Small, weak, and pessimistic, people often imagine Hui as the type to sit back and watch the action take place before her without interest or the will to join in. What they don't know, is that Hui is actually an extremely reckless person who often does things people would not even dare to imagine. She will poke her nose into situation she shouldn't, and will throw herself into danger even though she is one of the weakest fairy vial one can find. She'll often cause some sort of trouble on purpose, and end up in a situation where she cannot defend herself, which almost got her killed a couple of times in the past.
These personality of hers are due to her desire to carve her identity and existence into the world she lives in. She believes that if she could create hectic and dangerous situations for herself, she could prove that she exists in this world and, maybe someday, learn what it means to 'feel alive'
Although she knows of the flaws in her reasoning, she continues to act this way, believing that it is better than doing nothing.

Character
History
Chinese lanterns are often the symbol of deception and disappointment in Asia. From their plump figure, one might expect a large, sweet fruit to be inside, when it reality their fruits are rather tiny, making people feel as if they were lied to.
Hui grew up in a similar way, faking her identity to get people to like her. The first few times she did this, people caught onto her act and left her out of disappointment. This caused Hui to deceive people more, until eventually she became so good at lying and deceiving people that she even deceived herself.
One day, she met an Asternomer fairy vial. When Hui went to introduce herself, the fairy vial saw through her deception and pointed it out to her. Finally realizing that she deceived herself so much that she lost her own identity, Hui became devastated and questioned the meaning of her own existence. The astronomer felt bad for her and taught her how to do amezaiku (The art of molding candies into certain shapes) and advised her to learn more about the world, believing that gaining knowledge may help her learn more about herself. Hui took this advise to heart and became a candy maker while studying as much as she can about the world, which lead to her obsession of dangerous situations.
Currently, Hui sells candies while learning about the world around her, looking for something that piques her curiosity.

Magic
1. Truth and Deception
Magic which can only be used with her "other half." An active spell which forces the other half to deceive himself into believing in something he normally doesn't, and makes him protect her from danger. Hui's core is relatively weak, and this magic often pushes her to her limits. Once the effect wares off, she will feel physical pain and exhaustion which could possibly kill her if the spell was done incorrectly. Because of these reasons, Hui despises this magic, and avoids using it as much as she can.

[ Childhood friend ] Hui doesn't consider her as interesting, however she does accept her as a friend. She refers to her as "flower" and not a fairy vial due to a certain philosophy she holds.
