PERSONA: Very much an articulate and organised man, with a good head on his shoulders. You'll never catch him off-guard. Though scored 4/5 on extraversion, Kissinger is more observant than an inputter. Ethical and calculative at problem solving, nonhesitant, and advantageously makes minimal-casualty decisions when faced with threat. Selfless, priorities his crew's lives over everything else, and takes his job very much seriously. Clean flight record, with a distincition in his piloting career. Despite being very much down-to-earth, Kissinger has a devoted faith - he got that from his mother.
BACKGROUND: His mother was an Earthling, and his father the captain of SS Soyeuse - and although on good terms, his parents were never officially together. Kissinger was born aboard the starship, though it was decided that Kissinger would spend the younger years of his life on Earth first before attending academics on SS Soyeuse, and later SS Capitol for pilot training after graduating with distinction. First became a commercial pilot at 18 before gradually transitioning into a starship pilot. Has had equal experience in both commercial and mission piloting, though during The Great Earth War, he shifted more towards mission piloting, either in rehoming Earth evacuees or as an offense pilot.
OTHER: While Kissinger excels in pilotry and space missions, with his physical health at its peak, he's hopeless at catching up to trends - social media in particular. Despite his hard-set stoic face and blank expression, he deeply cares for his crewmates, often entertaining them by (hopelessly) trying to use trending slang. Even in harsh conditions, Kissinger always floats on steady - earning him the lowest possible score in neuroticism.
TRIVIA:
- Habitually has his sleeves rolled up.
- Has had over 10,000+ piloting hours, most of which were aboard SS Callagher, his own starship.
- His favourite food is (disgusting) starship food - bread, potatoes and protein shake.
- A cross is wrapped around right hand when idling at the ship, and around his neck in missions out.
- Owns the impromptu SS Elysium mascot "First Officer Snookie" - a yellow teddy bear, lated on clothed in Technical/Mercenary idle uniform. He received it from a child Earthling evacuee during his time in The Great Earth War. The child boarded SS EV-1 to be evacuated to Mars, though the mission was sabotaged and the ship exploded in front of his own eyes. He kept it ever since, and it peacefully sits in the cockpit of SS Elysium, overlooking the stars.
- Arthur Tannenbaum is his old flame. It’s a bit of a juicy story, though you’d have to pry it out of him to hear it.
