Pronouns

he/him

Voice

primarily nonverbal. When he does speak, it's at a strained low register.

Physical Description

Short, bright yellow, with bangs partially covering his eyes. He's usually frowning, and his posture is terrible, always hunched slightly forward. His gem is a thin 'scratch' along the inner wrist of his left arm, on the same side as his thumb.

Personality

Bitter and easily irritated, his default expression is a dead-eyed scowl. Still, one may seen his rare and elusive smirk as he falls upon an particularly fine morbid joke. Living life on a scale of apathy to rage, he rarely gets anxious, and is thus a pretty chill dude all things considered. He's not exactly rational, however, and is easily humored by intrusive thoughts or impulsive urges (especially of the self destructive variety).

Power

Wind cutter (can cut any object with a blast of wind). This also acts as his weapon.

Backstory
Sulfur never felt comfortable with the order of Homeworld. This discomfort largely was channeled into violence and public disruption, which often got him in trouble. They tried to redirect his violent energy into the war with Earth, but he had no loyalty to Homeworld and quickly started acting out against the fleet. After fighting with some officials, he was taken as a prisoner and was sent to be experimented on.

He was going to be forced into fusion with two other prisoners, Jewel and Heliotrope, but then ended up escaping together as Sedona Vortex. Ironically, the one way to avoid fusing against their will was to fuse voluntarily.

Successfully breaking out, the three now had no choice but to start their lives anew on Earth. The three waited out the rest of the war together, fleeing pursuit, but soon it was over; and whatever partnership they had had dissolved. Going their separate ways, they promised to help each other out if one was ever in crisis.

Ongoing Story
After parting ways with the others after the war, Sulfur spent time exploring human civilizations. He learned about the concept of masculinity and separate genders and felt like he finally understood something about himself that always felt wrong on Homeworld. Sulfer began trying to present as masculine as possible, distancing himself as far from the mandatory feminine identity of Homeworld. Not all of his ideas of masculinity are exactly as human society discusses it, but it makes him comfortable and happy.

Some years after the year he reunited with Jewel, where they became very close. They formed a relationship resembling siblinghood, and made a home together. Every now and then they would also see Heliotrope, but these meetings were rare and often short.

Powers
Sulfur is able to cut through any material via high velocity wind. He can split trees in half, or carve etchings into stone; he can control how shallow or deep the cuts are. This wind ability, though powerful, is not very large (he can't, say, cut up a building in one go). It also only exists on nonlethal levels of power.
