[Dis] Discord Zone

Discord is definitely an extrovert, they love people, they love parties and talking and being the center of attention. They could be called a narcissist, and they'd likely agree. They'd take over the world if they'd be worshipped, but being aware that folk don't generally enjoy being conquered mercilessly, they haven't done that yet. Or, rather, they haven't tried that again. They might, don't test them, you're already on thin ice. But please, pay attention to them, look, they're doing a cute pose.

The problem with Discord is they they're incredibly anxiety-ridden, and ridiculously over-confident. They're an egotistical maniac with too much energy who uses confidence as a coping mechanism. They come off as kind of an ass, frankly, they act like they need nobody, and like everyone needs them. They're important, and powerful, and they know it. It covers up deep anxiety and fear and discomfort. It's easier to play the part of an asshole with an ego.

They have serious trauma, and they're scared to be scared, terrified to indicate weakness. Being too much, and powerful, makes people not see that they're so much smaller than they project.

But, they enjoy singing. It's not an act that they love the energy, enthusiasm, and attention of being on a stage- performance is their love, and they rejoice in it. They write their own songs, and their own music, they design most of their costumes. They like to dance, and design their choreography. Most people would call them a control freak, but they're mostly uncomfortable with the idea of someone controlling them, even for something such as a song.

Discord is a very pink character, they've got highly wavy and curly (but not densely curly) hair, think Rarity. Their hair is a light pink, with darker pink-purple streaks and curls. They have pale almost white markings; stockings and a spot on their forehead. They have white pupils!!!

Discord has to wear glasses to read, but otherwise does not tend to wear them much- they can see relatively well without them, and besides, the glasses make their nose itchy. They're a bright pink, like his eyes, but slightly darker. They have thick frames, and are large half-moon shapes.

Their prosthetic was made by themselves, it includes 2 total joints, it extends from down the shoulder to the elbow, where it breaks off into a floating joint, which is a bright cyan sorta magnetic ball with randomly colored sparks bouncing off of it. The second half of the prosthetic extends from the elbow joint down, into the wrist (the second total joint) consisting of three rounded plates/bowls thats shift together to give them a whole range of movement. This legs movements can be highly exaggerated. each chunk of leg is made out of a glass tube full of a bright green liquid- this can move based on their movements. feel free to experiment!

Discord is a dancer, they are very bouncy and energetic, and should be drawn smiling or flirty! they tend to have bold, loud movements, as they themselves are very loud! theyre easily excitable, but can heavily hyperfocus on things.

Discord has two outfits, one is a red dress with silks wrapping around their shoulders, that start and end at the collar, the silks are a light purple, a soft sheer fabric that drapes over their arms. The collar is a golden satin-y thing, with a diamond cut ruby in the center. The dress flows a fair distance past their waist, and at the waist splits off into several different sections. Making different strips for leg to show through.

The second outfit is a soft peach colored sweater with the words 'im stumped' and '@~@' underneath them. Layered on top of this is a light blue sleeveless pullover hoodie, with dark blue hems, and a big pocket. They never wear the hood, it should always be down around their neck. Discord can be drawn in the sweater without their hoodie. Neither the hoodie or the sweater cover their prosthetic, the sweater was re-hemmed.

You're free to design them new outfits if neither of the ones they wear appeal to you! They prefer feminine clothes, and any colors you want are totally acceptable.

Discord Zone is an immortal being, filled to the brim with power. You'd think he'd spill over, but he has quite the handle on spending energy as necessary. The result of a few too many superpowered freak-outs in his youth. He would probably guess at being a few thousand years old, upward of five, though not all of that time was spent as a pony. When he was very young, he was part of an ancient species of chimera, called Amalgams. They were like some cluster of creatures, mostly pony, with parts dragon, faeri, griffon, or other species. The town he lived in was mostly dragon-pony based Amalgams, living peacefully with a small village of pony hybrids- alicorns, having both wings and horns.

Alicorns were feared by regular pony, rightly so, as they generally had a much larger pool of magic than any unicorn, and they were quite rare. So to see one was always a bit of a shock. The Amalgams had seen the way families reacted- placing newborns on the edge of forests, telling themselves, they'll survive, or they won't, but it's not my fault. Amalgams frequently ran into issues with ponies- feared for their unnatural features, certainly a magically created disturbance, and they felt sympathy. They gathered any alicorn they could find, offering them shelter- a home. The alicorn village grew quickly, a match for the Amalgam village. Carefully created on a mountain, in the center of a lake, on the tip of a mountain. Safely isolated from the rest of the world.

Village-era

When Discord was living in the village, it had been growing for years- several hundred, almost a thousand, and was well populated. He was a small thing, mostly pony, with scaled claws, wings, and tail. He had horns like a deer, and a similarly tipped nose. Though, he didn't quite appreciate his form- he'd always found the Amalgams to be cruel, his family was unkind, mother distant, father busy. His favourite time was when he was outside, after being tutored. He would play in the field outside the house, on the edge of the forest, sometimes in the stream there. That's where he met Pyro Storm.

She was overwhelmingly kind, and fun to play with, and took him through the forest, with her sword for protection. She was a soldier in training, she said, she would keep him very safe. After that, most of his time was spent camping with her, training his magic, and watching her fight. They were both fascinated with fire- she could conjure it with barely a thought, and he would conjure any number of things for her to burn. Usually, they let it burn out, but occasionally they would dunk it in the forests small pond, far away from both villages and training ground.

He and Pyro were fairly inseparable, and together they were a well of bad ideas. He had a streak for revenge, and she was soft for him, and they played pranks, growing in number, and danger. They were the source of a few too many broken bones, and they were seperated for awhile. But children are oh-so effective against holding, and they quickly regrouped- this time to stay in the woods as long as they could, and with Discord's ability to summon, or conjure, at will, they would have food and shelter as long as they wished. Discord is pansexual, grey-aromantic, and genderfluid, and generally pretty private about it. ugh okay it deleted SO CHUNKS OF WHAT I REMEMBER FOR LATER. happy to show interest in anyone and shrug at ‘are u gay or straight???’. but funky about his gender. shy around strangers. trusted ppl ranges from ‘im going to test ur mcfuckin patience so help u god’ to ‘if u betray me in this i will destroy you (after i cry abt it)’. it makes him happy.
