He blames himself for his siblings deciding to join an evil clan while they travelled - but he tried to persuade them not to and he still continued on, so no one else blames him. He's very willing to own up to his mistakes, and were it not for his doubts about his decision making skills, he would be a solid candidate for deputy once Chubtail and Heronstar retire.
