"Meryl"
A tiny little slug who often visits the human world so he can spend time with his lover, Gideon. Of course this gets him a lot of flak from his parents, Murk and Abe who caution their young son about visiting a world that may not understand him. But he'll take any amount of punishment if it means that he gets to see Gideon again.
It took a long time for him to actually speak to Gigi however. Meryl is incredibly shy, especially around humans. His father, Abe, is a human and Abe has already had a hard time with what he called the 'supernatural'. Because of his father's reaction to some of the denizens of Narthalex, Meryl worries that humans will be terrified of him or wish to hurt him but he was finally brave enough to approach Gigi when they were both younger and love blossomed from there.
