Isaiah

Personality

Isaiah is a no-nonsense, hard-working guy. He has a habit of grumbling to himself when he's annoyed about something, but he tries not to bother other people with his problems. It's not easy to get him to smile. He has very little sense of direction, and carries a compass with him at all times.

Backstory

Isaiah is a sandsailor, delivering packages to various settlements in the Great Desert. His sandsailing partner is Tio. They attended the same sandsailing school, but Tio's status as top student combined with his easygoing personality tends to rub Isaiah the wrong way. Isaiah's bad sense of direction made school even more difficult for him, and he had to put in a lot of extra hours of practice and study to make up for his shortcomings. Isaiah perceives Tio as having had a much easier time than him in school, and developed a small inferiority complex after being paired together. While they don't fight, Isaiah keeps him at arms length most of the time.
