General Info

If you ever see a person in a bomb suit and there's neither a bomb being disposed or a marathon going on nearby, run! For that is Samantha Astrauskaite, a very professional assassin

Given her profession, she ain't exactly a nice person, and unlike Rin, she doesn't try to hide this. Although, this is partially due to having no friends in her life and being the unpopular kid, even before she became a assassin for hire. Which also explains her really pale skin too, I guess.

Sam's voice is shaky, slightly nasally, and has a Slavic accent. On very rare occasions, though, she'll talk in a totally different one. What is it? I ain't telling you.

Backstory

Much like Rin, Samantha's history prior to the start of her career is shrouded in mystery. Sure, you could assume that she's a Lithuanian who worked in bomb disposal prior to going off her shits. But then again, she could've faked her identity and stole that suit for a laugh. So let's just stick to what we know for this segment, okay?

We begin in 2009, when Sol Invictus offered her a series of jobs for money - you can probably guess what they were. And for the next two or so years, she did just those. Over time, Samantha would gain a reputation in the field for having a terrifying presence even by its standards, as well as being fiercely competitive. For example, she'll often try to get her self-proclaimed rivals caught, maimed, or killed. Invictus didn't really care about this, though. As long as Sam did her jobs well and not butcher the rest of their assassins, they were happy.

Once 2011 rolled around, the leaders of Invictus offered Samantha a chance to join their group, promising funds, weaponry, and housing if she worked exclusively for them. Although tempted at first, Samantha declined in the end as she was looking into working for other potential clients. Plus, she thought their whole religion thing was kinda bullshit. 

While Invictus was disappointed - and would eventually stop working with her as she was too busy with other projects - they decided to let her go without any problems, as long as she didn't leak her activities to anyone. And so, over the next four years, Samantha would assassinate various people for various factions, chill out in her secret base, and try to take out any rival killers she had her eyes on. 

(This list of rivals included Rin, who ended up needing to cover their face in bandages so that it'd still hold together. Some believe that there was another, larger motive behind the attack.)

But in secret, Sam is keeping close tabs on Invictus and Shizue's agents, hoarding classified and sensitive data on both factions. Why? I dunno.

Fun Facts

• Samantha's favorite animals are malamutes. She can appreciate their fluffiness.
• As of the end of 2014, her kill count is at least 56. It would be higher if she wasn't so careful during her jobs.
• She has a habit of eating anything that you'll give to her, edible or not. Strangely, she's never negatively affected by what she eats.
• No matter the weather, time, or situation, Samantha will never take her heavy-ass bomb suit off. Rumors are abound as to why, the most popular being that she is fused to her suit like a Big Daddy or something.
  • The truth is two-fold; one, she does this to flex and show off how good her skills are. The second reason is that she doesn't have much clothing apart from the suit.
• When she isn't on a job, Samantha enjoys a bit of gaming, hunting, and knife making.
• While she may have stolen her suit, Sam's knife - which she nicknames the Grand Machete - was forged all by herself using metal and wood from an old car.
• Her favorite color is a very specific shade of dark purple.
• Samantha cannot swim, and thus has a fear of the ocean and drowning.
