Karabu are earth aligned people, who take energy from the minerals and gems from below. more often than not, they avoid footwear as it disrupts their ability to absorb power from the earth.

With such abilities, they're able to track and feel where precious gems may lie. Though whilst it is taboo in their culture to harvest gems to sell to other species, many younger karabus take on roles as merchants to sell to those interested.

Some notable features are their soft nubs on their heads, that act as sensors to find gems, along with a gem on their chest, a projection of their heart. when using magic, these features may glow.

In terms of magical ability, their strength depends on their locations. Traditionally many Karabu are nomadic and travel from what is considered mineral hotspots in the land, though many have broken tradition and have mingled into simple human villages. Karabu are skilled in learning healing spells, however there have been some who have learnt spells outside healing magic.
