Intro
Naoko Namine is a Kinoto ranked Demon Slayer and a member of the Demon Slaying Corps. She uses a breathing style called Breath of Clouds.
Personality
Naoko is a cheerful and witty girl. She isn't bothered by a person's rank, social status, or age, and talks to everyone as an equal. Often times, she can be sarcastic and lighten the atmosphere (unless she is in a situation where she has to remain polite and respectful, in which case she might make things worse). While she isn't naive, she is quick to warm up to people she knows she can trust (or that have proven themselves trustworthy), and is always ready to help or protect them.
In battle, she tends to lose her sarcastic side, and remains much more focused. She knows her place and readily takes orders from those with more knowledge or experience than her (though she may pester them about it once the fight is over).
While she is strong-willed and rarely does what she's been told, whenever she is around Shinobu, she becomes completely submissive, willing even to defy common sense just to follow after her and make sure she's okay.
Breathing Style
Naoko uses Breath of Clouds - a breathing style derivative of the Breath of Water. It's a style which focuses on agility but is still capable of delivering strong attacks.
First Style: Cirrus Cloud
A single horizontal slash.
Second Style: Stratus Cloud
Naoko ducks low, running up to her opponent, and delivering a single powerful slash.
Third Style: Raincloud
Moving in a circle around her opponent, Naoko inflicts wounds all around their body.
Fourth Style: Summer Rain
Multiple quick and light attacks. Good for slashing objects/demons into little pieces or inflicting multiple small wounds in a short time.
Fifth Style: The Merciful Rain of a Dry Day
(shared with Breath of Water) A "sword strike of kindness" that kills the target with little to no pain. Used when the enemy surrenders.
Sixth Style: Thunderstorm
A strong and sudden attack, delivered with great force, causing Naoko's feet to make a loud sound when they hit the ground upon completion.
Seventh Style: Piercing Rain Drop
(shared with Breath of Water) A fast and accurate stab. The fastest Breath of Water/ Breath of Clouds technique.
Eighth Style: Clear Night Sky
Naoko moves to a dark/obscured place, hiding from her opponent's view, and delivers a surprise attack. Works best in the night; useless in big open spaces.
Summary
Naoko used to live with her parents and her older brother. One winter day however, late in the night, a demon entered their house and attacked her family. Naoko's brother protected her until the very end, calling out for her to run and hide, even in his last moments, as he bled out yet still tried to hold the demon back.
Just when the situation looked hopeless for Naoko, a Demon Slayer appeared. As she was saved by her, Naoko was in awe of Shinobu's power. Shortly after she was rescued, Naoko, now all alone at only the age of 14, was taken in by an old former Demon Slayer living nearby. He taught her the Breath of Clouds (a style he'd developed himself after watching the former Water Pillar, Urokodaki, and being inspired by his strength), and prepared her to join the Demon Slaying Corps.
After passing Final Selection, Naoko has been working tirelessly for 3 years now, reaching as far as the rank of Kinoto.
She is also somewhat known as Giyu's Successor. This however, is something she often mentions in passing, explaining that she is just there to temporarily fill the role, until Giyu finds a better successor to replace her. She also claims she only accepted so she could be closer to a pillar and, by extent, Shinobu too.

Shinobu Kocho

Naoko admired Shinobu's strength and abilities. As time went on, she began to realize she liked every aspect of Shinobu - from her looks, to her personality. While you wouldn't catch her admitting it herself, Naoko is aware that she has developed a crush on Shinobu. Of course, she is aware such feelings can never be reciprocated. Though Shinobu doesn't show it much, she also knows she can always rely on Naoko, but unfortunately can't return her feelings.
(Whenever Shinobu is around, Naoko just refers to her by Shinobu-san. However, when she isn't within hearing distance, Naoko prefers to use Shinobu-sama. She has to limit her use of sama, because when Shinobu heard her use it once, she told her it didn't feel right to hear such a suffix coming from someone older.
Giyu Tomioka

Although Naoko often gives Giyu a hard time, she can admit that he's impressively strong. In battle, she'd trust him in a heartbeat. Though she'd never say it to his face, he reminds her of her older brother.
Tanjiro Kamado

Though she was at first taken aback upon learning that he had a demon accompanying him, she has since grown to respect him, realizing that everything he's doing for Nezuko is much like everything Naoko's own older brother used to do for her. In Tanjiro and Nezuko she sees the sibling bond she and her brother never had the time to establish, before his life was tragically cut short. She's willing to do everything in her power to make sure Tanjiro succeeds in his goal.
