Autumn is a very bright and sociable young woman, who enjoys hearing the bustling sounds of a happy crowd. She expresses her emotions outwardly like an open book, and constantly puts out positive energy. She is very affectionate with her words and actions, resembling the mother that she's always wanted to be, despite not having any children. In addition, she almost always act like a mother embarrassing their child when she feels the need to tease, pinching their cheeks softly and spouting overly supportive words.

She is protective of those she cares about and becomes easily distressed seeing someone in an anxious and/or negative state. And although she wields an overall delicate demeanor, Autumn isn't afraid to call someone out on their bad attitude, making her naive for not surveying the situation before speaking. She is confrontational and will fight if she's forced to.

Autumn's personality is so open, it's easy to tell when she's trying to be flirtatious. She's assertive when she knows what she wants, and not so subtle with her words and actions. In fact, she likes getting hit on, and finds a lot of comfort in physical contact. Autumn is very touchy feely and a bit clingy.

facts
  • Whenever Autumn isn't being honest, she subconsciously begins playing with a strand of her hair. And it becomes a behavior everyone learns to spot, but no one ever points it out.
  • Autumn is left handed, but besides this, she canonically has the worst penmanship among most of the characters in the story
  • She loves lounging around at home in her underwear more often than not, throw herself a small party by eating a bunch of junk food and watching romantic comedies.
  • Autumn has a love for nature, and really enjoys visiting swimming holes. There was one near her community in Erivale that she would often go to even at night. She also really enjoys climbing on trees, although most of her outfits are obviously not made for that.
  • She has very bad luck when it comes to romantic relationship. It seems all of her partners never actually liked her the way she did (e.g. embarrassed her in front of classmates, gotten stood up on a date, miscommunication that led to Autumn thinking they were on a date and then realizing she had gotten friend zoned while on said 'date', etc.) With that said, Eli Thurston is her 6th try at love (and this isn't counting the one-time dates)
  • Autumn has a [cockney-inspired] British accent. A close reference of her voice would be Dua Lipa and Jane).

Summary

Official Role

A country bumpkin reaching for the stars with a slice of determination and a hint of disappointment, Autumn dreams of becoming a professional chef and opening her own restaurant one day. But she is hindered by her family's poor financial status, and isn't able to enroll into a culinary arts institution. Autumn hesitantly drops the dream of going to college, but keeps her dream alive by joining pastry contests, village cooking competitions and small festivals to bake and cook to her heart's content. So as it stands, Autumn is very well known around her village as a good cook.

Autumn gets closer to her dreams when one of the biggest renowned food competition show was announced on her family's bulky, small-sized TV. And not long after submitting her online application, Autumn gets accepted. And of course, the competition would be taking place in Sirilean City, Mallowwyvern, a country across the ocean. No matter, Autumn was able to find an afforable apartment online and with glee, secured a temporary job as a Daycare worker at the Primary Frost (School). However... the apartment ends up not looking like the pictures. Moreover, Sirilean City is known as the "World's Future" for it's life-changing technology and culture shock fashion. And unfortunately for Autumn, who grew up in a very, very rural area with slow and laggy Internet service, peanut phones, and an area where you're more likely to see horses on the road than cars, she ends up having an extremely tough time trying to fit in.

From music-blasting neighbors to city cockroaches to moving screens and AI, Autumn ends up putting up with a lot of stuff during her first month and gets incredibly homesick. She is also challenged with the fact that her pure dedication to her baby brother's needs and dreams may be damaging her own.

Origins

Autumn grew up in a small village called Erivale, in the small country of Norfort; and was raised by two loving parents, Maise (deceased) and Wallace. And though Autumn was a jealous child at the way her younger brothers stole the attention, she lvoed them with all her heart and practically raised them herself after her mother died (with the help of her father, of course, but he was often busy busting his back at work to help with the bills). She grew up unable to experience what most people would have experienced during her adolescence, and is now currently stuck with a mindset that her brothers come first before her.

She grew up going to an all-girls school, which was an hour away from Erivale in the next town over, so she had to take the public charter bus back and forth. Her teenage years isn't filled with much fond memories as she'd like, as her first boyfriend cheated on her. Not to mention the girl she was crushing on in her junior year turned out to be a total snake and used Autumn's crush on her as a device to make her do her dirty work. Autumn's romantic relationship journey is tricky and full of failures, and yet, one of her biggest goals besides becoming a chef, is to get married and have four children!

Britney Holland

[ Acquaintance / Good Friend ]

"Hmm, should you wear this one, with the peakaboo, or this one with the high waisted underwear? "

By first impression, Autumn is in love with her confidence and laid back demeanor. Although they don't know each other very well in the beginning, they are very supportive of one another and get along well despite their different lifestyles, and their different fashion sense. Autumn enjoys learning about anything Britney gives her advice on, even though sh's no teacher. Autumn fully understands that Britney will tell it to her straight, blunt, and quick if something is unusual or wrong, and can always count on her, so she doesn't make a fool out of herself. It's a big help to Autumn when she's new to the city. Autumn isn't one who usually goes shopping, due to her being a financial calculator and saving funds instead of buying one thing for herself; so when she finally get to go out shopping, it's with Britney. And it's an interesting experience as Britney uses her as a dress up doll. Conner and Britney are the second / third characters of main 7 to meet Autumn informally.

Conner E Beccera

[ Acquaintance / Good Friend ]

"Eyyyyy, it's red head ! Huh? Is that a chocolate cake I smell?~"

Autumn finds Conner to be quite eccentric and fun in his own way. She enjoys being able to joke around with him and, both being extroverted and social, aren't afraid of seeming weird to the public when they do their own little gags. She often finds herself entangled in his comedic behavior and can't stop laughing, which resulted in everyone finding out she has this 'ugly' laugh. Autumn always admits she has a lot of fun hanging around Conner, more so when he tries teaching her his exercising routines (which go over quite well even though Autumn doesn't enjoy the feel of sweatpants). She actually quite enjoys his antics, and they both often try to make jokes out of each other. They're conversations are very smooth throughout the story, even when one of them might be emotionally down. Autumn is very supportive of him and cheers him on whenever he's on the job as a firefighter. They are very fun together and sometimes, their other friends might seem embarrassed with the crap they pull in public, especially Matthew, who keeps telling them that they're embarrassing him. Whenever Autumn is able to make some sort of pastry dish, somehow Conner is able to find out what it is by making a guess. She finds him to be very humorous and 98% accurate, so now they play this type of game a lot. Conner and Britney are the second / third characters of the main 6 to meet Autumn, informally.

Eli Thurston

[ Stranger / Crush / Love Interest I ]

"Sorry... what was that...?"

Upon first meeting Eli, Autumn is terrified of him, stumbling on her own words as she asks for directions. He makes her forget about her homesickness even if it's for a few short minutes due to her being terrified he was some kind of mafia boss. This interaction is short but memorable for her and lifts her spirit for the day after countless things had gone wrong for her in the city. Autumn is attracted to his tough and scary exterior, even though she is advised to not interact with him because of his supposed superiority complex. But soon after, it starts becoming apparent to her that the man's just awkward. Autumn is one of the people, along with others later on, that give him support and encouragement. She enjoys the feeling of seeing Eli having fun and experiencing things he wasn't able to experience before. Autumn starts their relationship off as friends, but a really bad fever ends up being the catalyst to noticing that she's falling for him. After this, she is noticeable with her affection and almost confesses to him until a terrible event leaves her keeping her mouth closed. Eli is the fourth character of the main 7 to meet Autumn informally.

Luke Knight

[ Stranger/ Thorn on her side / Love Interest II ]

"Well, if it isn't the ugly duckling."

Luke Knight is the first of the main 6 to meet Autumn informally. Both Autumn and Luke Knight get off on the wrong foot during their first meeting at the Beach Haven Airport, with Autumn being purposefully dropped after he accidentally saves her from falling off the stairs. She hopes to never meet him again, but fate works in the strangest ways as Autumn finds herself working in the Academy he visits often. Needless to say, the moment she finds out that Luke Knight is one of the biggest celebrities of Mallowwyvern, she becomes a bit avoidant in the beginning before returning to her usual annoyed state after his constant provoking. Their relationship is still tainted by this time; Autumn doesn't care an inch about his reputation, and continues to give off as much snarky remarks as he does. She is always put in a defensive state around him and gets annoyed easily at his cold and calculating demeanor. She's always ready to bicker and debate with him. It's not after some time where Autumn begins tolerating him more, and being able to put up with his provocations. She finds herself in a competitive friendship-rivalry-enemy relationship with Luke Knight. At some point, Autumn actually might say that she has a fun time when debating and bickering with him. She will admit she has a ton of respect for his company's technology, and even the man himself.

Matthew Covey

[ Acquaintance / Good Friend ]

"The city is full of hounds... be careful out there, alright?"

Matthew is the first character of the main 6 to be properly introduced to Autumn. She finds him to be funny, although it's usually when Matthew isn't at all purposefully trying to be humorous. Autumn enjoys laying back and seeing where his awkward flirting goes, even when it's another woman. She actually gives him some small advice on how he can catch the eyes of pretty ladies, but seeing as how Autumn is bad when it comes to romantic relationships, they might as well fail both. It is one of the biggest things they have in common, which they both sometimes sulk about with each other. Autumn finds Matthew to be a nice guy in general and someone who knows when to take responsibility. She gives him support for looking handsome, but, most of the time, she may end up slipping up that he is cute (which he hates being called). When he is boasting about himself, Autumn can't help but ask to show her his dating history and vice versa. Then they sulk again at their own issues. At first, Autumn is quite surprised when it comes down to his pessimistic behavior since she isn't used to being around a realist. Even so, she tries to correct him positively, so they can both at least try to lift the atmosphere into a good one.

Vanessa Lockwood

[ Acquaintance / Good Friend ]

"What do you call a train loaded ith gum?... a chew-chew train! Bwahaha!"

Autumn and Vanessa hit it off well upon their first introduction to each other, during a time when Autumn is forced to go to the hospital because of a situation involving one of her students. It turns out they have a lot of things in common with one of the biggest ones being that Vanessa used to live in Erivale when she was a child before coming to live with her grandparents in Mallowwyvern. They were even in the same kindergarten class before she moved, which ends up being a reason for them to hang out more. Autumn and Vanessa have a relationship where they thrive on dad jokes, and giggle about every little thing that comes to mind. Autumn adores Vanessa and thinks of her as adorable, reminding her of people in Erivale which sooothes her homesickness a lot. Since the city is pretty rough, Vanessa is the second of the main 7 to meet Autumn formally, and the first one to get to know her.
