String art, although niche, is a talent of the arts, and a difficult one at that. Although simple things like friendship bracelets and such may come to mind, string art is a niche and intricate handiwork that, generally speaking, covers a broad variety of different techniques to create different things. From weaved paintings made of thin string, to the detailed work of creating temari ball ornaments, there are many ways that string art can be interpretted. Taiki's focus, although he does many different types of string art, focuses on the art of cord braiding.

Cord braiding, specifically kumihimo cord braiding, is a style of braid-making hailing from Japan. Although the practice is generally widespread now with being used as the basis for children's jewelry, friendship bracelets, etc, it is a practice that is used in modern Japan even to this day. Creating intricate additions to attire with the assigned tools (such as the marudai and takadai, for two examples) such as the cord to keep obi in place is one of the more known ones of these. Taiki excells the most in the creation of these types of cords, and has made many intricate flat and round cords alike in his lifetime.

Although they are not Taiki's main focus, he does still do an extreme amount of other string art. It takes much longer than using the general kumihimo braiding, however, Taiki does possess the ability to create landscapes, portraits, etc, with even the smallest of string, as well as create small to medium objects such as temari balls. These are just a few examples, however, due to the wide variety of string art that is available to learn, it's difficult to pinpoint just what he actually excels at or just participates in as a hobby-- such as knitting.

• BRAIDED CORD BRACELET

  Taiki's tool of the trade is a simple and worn looking braided cord made into a bracelet. It's a lucky charm for him and he rarely takes it off, even when bathing. He can be seen rubbing it from time to time, as if praying to some power above him that something he's thinking of may or may not happen. Although this tool is not technically a tool and moreso a item of comfort, it helps Taiki through troubled times wherever he may go. He would rather die than lose this.

Taiki, due to the circumstances of his talent, takes immense pride and joy in his handiwork. Although there are many things that he could take pride in, it's generally his work- any of it- that he shares a sense of I did this in it. Although he's not the biggest fan of small talk, his like of being around others and speaking about passions, histories, etc is a prominant trait of Taiki's and shows up often. He's quite perceptive when it comes to the ins and outs of his surroundings, and a keen eye is never one to be underestimated in general circumstances. There's a handful of situations this may come into play, especially when it comes to dire times, though it's more passive than anything else. His emotional connection to others plays a major part in how he communicates and socializes with others, and he connects with others to a slight extreme way- he's a caring person, and feels empathy towards others, as well as having a natural consoling manner towards others he talks to.

Although it doesn't mean that he is lazy nor too chill for his own good, Taiki is a relatively relaxed and laid-back person, not wanting to do more than he absolutely has to as well as wanting a pretty calm life and lifestyle. His surroundings determine whether or not this is a prominent trait, of course, though it's there regardless. Taiki's upbringing has made him a very easily commanded person, though he isn't one to be fully pushed around and played with like a toy. He'll stick by somebody's side like a dog, but he'll leave if things go sour enough in the long run, even if it takes him a while to recognize issues in a friendship, relationship, etc. He isn't a huge pushover, but Taiki can be a bit of a softie and too kind at times for his own good- especially when it comes to seeing others in a suffering position. Of course, he isn't dumb and he'll pick up on some inconsistencies, but emotional manipulation isn't his noticable forte and it'd be more difficult for him to not be a consoling person to a good liar.

Being up to par with general and normal social standards isn't Taiki's forte in the long run whatsoever- he's a pretty big dumbass when it comes to society's normalities and is pretty close to the definition of a shut-in living under a rock. He's clearly an adjusting citizen to the "outside," world. Taiki's buttons are extremely easy to push, whether it be for his emotional weakness or his physical weakness- sensitive to anything and everything is a good phrase for him, and although he'll recover relatively quickly, he's not one to understand slightly obscure jokes and the like, let alone take them well. He has little to no tolerance to the things he doesn't like, and many things make him gag at the slightest hint of them, even if it's just a mention of a word. Though, generally speaking, this isn't something you'll see him act upon often seeing as he'll be gone by the time he gets a whiff of something he can't handle, such as vomit. He won't go and have a full on tantrum like a child, sure, but Taiki is down for anything and everything, even if it's playing with dolls or toys- he's mature enough to be able to care for himself, however, he's stuck in the past with a good amount of his time. Couple that with his sensitivities, and he's not one that's easy to be around if he isn't used to you or vice versa.

• The state of his hair, when looked at closely, makes it apparent his hair is dyed. He clearly cares and treats it very well, however.
• Taiki is native in Japanese and a moderate to excellent speaker in English.
• Although it's faint, hanging out with Taiki will give you the satisfaction of smelling his shampoo and conditioner, as well as his hand lotion! He smells of many fruity and floral things, though something similar to pumpkin spice smell is the most prominent.
• Taiki's hands tend to be very dry and it's noticable, especially when he's stressed and hasn't had the time of day in his fly-sized brain to apply lotion.
