Kithood

Solidago was born in a litter of three, his brother Root and sister Magpie being the other two. Their father was Bramble and their mother was Dandelion. Even from a young age Solidago was a selfish, arrogant boy. He hogged their mother's milk and walked all over his siblings, trying to make it clear he was going to be in charge and was never going to be ignored.

Privatehood

When Solidago reached 6 moons, he became a private. His brother had to be held back, and of course Solidago rubbed it in Root's face whenever possible. He was, in fact, good at learning and excelled in training from almost day one. The ladies didn't really fling themselves at him yet, much to his disappointment.

Later on his shoulder was injured when he saved Root from being caught in a trap while they were outside of the warren. He maintains the lie he did that because ladies like a man with a scar. Why else would he have done it?

Sergeant and Captainhood

On the cusp of becoming a Sergeant, he started squabbling over a doe with his brother. He eventually won the doe over, but left her after becoming a Sergeant because Root wasn't jealous about the situation anymore. Solidago had only became interested in the doe to mess with his brother, really.

Solidago’s time spent as a Captain was extremely brief, and overall unnotable. He did his duties, while also adding his own flare to them, of course.

Lieutenantship

Solidago spent about a moon as a Captain before being approached by Gladiolus to become Lieutenant. Naturally he hopped right on the opportunity, accepting without any hesitation. This would be his chance to be someone, something, important, and there was no way he was going to let the opportunity slip through his paws. So what if others were more qualified or whatever else. They weren't him, and didn't have a chance in hell of doing as good a job as he could.

Soon the Lieutenant became aware of a Sergeant’s plans to desert Bogweed, prompting him to step into the situation. Instead of punishing her with demotion or bodily harm, he manipulated her into pretending to be his girlfriend to make himself look better. However, in the end, during a fight with Buttercup, she was believed to have been killed and left behind. She ended up joining Buttercup anyway, and the Lieutenant pretended to be upset by her betrayal to save his own ass.

While picking on Prisoner Laurens, one of his favorite rabbits to torment before the flowerboy was returned to Buttercup, Solidago inadvertently kindled a friendship between Sergeant Crowberry and him. They had become as close as the russet buck had ever been to anyone, before the Sergeant was one day tragically found dead. The Lieutenant took this blow particularly hard, burying his loss beneath pursuit of a prisoner to keep his nest warm. She bowed to his charm, but ended up having Solidago’s kits as a result. Disgusted by even the thought of offspring, he still avoids the filth to this day.

After General Gladiolus foolishly charged off to face the foe Buttercup and Bogweed faced in Lan-Hraeth, getting himself maimed and captured in the end, it befell Solidago to take up the reins of leadership in Bogweed. Naturally, being disliked by most, he faced opposition, but it should be noted he did his best during those trying times to get everyone through.

He even did so well that he successfully worked alongside Chief Valerian to organize a patrol of Buttercup Diggers and Bogweed soldiers to infiltrate Lan-Hraeth and rescue General Gladiolus, which the patrol managed to do.

He'd thought once the General had been rescued that Gladiolus would once more step into the spotlight and Solidago would have a chance to catch his breath, but that didn't really happen. Chief Valerian was soon killed, Buttercup taken as prisoner, and perhaps it was the bleak situation, the loss of his mate and some kits, or wear and tear on his body (perhaps a combination of all three?), but the General left a shocking amount of running the Warren still on his Lieutenant's shoulders. Solidago did it, coordinating with the General and Captains, and soon he had Bogweed working with Buttercup to chase Lan-Hraeth back into the mountains. But naturally, such a feat would not come without a cost.

General Gladiolus had found his fighting spirit once more, though it proved not enough. After perishing in the fight, Solidago was left to claim the title of General as his and appoint his sister, Magpie, as the new Lieutenant not long after.
