● In the Tribe’s first prophecy, the Tribe of Flowering Stars (aka ToTC’s equivalent of StarClan) gave Howling Storm the power to predict her opponents’ moves in battle. After the prophecy was completed, these powers faded.

● Howling Storm held leadership positions under five different Stonetellers (every Stoneteller whose reign she was alive for) before being removed when her mother Iridescent Pearl came to power.

● Howling Storm is named after her father Roaring Storm, who died protecting her mother from a wolf attack before she was born.

● Howl is the second oldest cat in the Tribe, second only to her mother.

● Howl is the firstborn of her mother’s first litter of two girls and four boys. Only she and her brother Mighty Wolf, the second-born, are still alive from this litter, although she has numerous younger adopted and half siblings.

Howl idolises her father Roaring Storm as the model of everything that a Tribe cat should be. Despite never meeting him, everything she does is in his name. |
| Iridescent Pearl |
Howl’s relationship with her mother has never been anything but rocky. Howl feels that Pearl is unnecessarily and unfairly harsh on her specifically, extremely hypocritical in her treatment of her, and believes that she favorites her other siblings while neglecting her. While they have had brief moments of closeness, such as after Howl’s littermate Frozen Puddle died, they are currently extremely resentful of each other. Howl despises her mother and avoids speaking to her at all costs, believing that her demotion was completely unforgivable. She does not respect Pearl’s authority as Stoneteller. |
| Sleeping Goose |
Sleeping Goose is Howling Storm’s childhood friend and mate. They started off with a friendly rivalry, and later fell in love. Howl proposed when they were young Commanders together, and they became mates. After a short time, however, Howl discovered that Goose was cheating on her with a cat Howl had previously competed with over Goose’s affections: Gentle Aloe. The pair broke up and didn’t speak for moons, until Goose had kits with Aloe. Howl wished to make the kits aware of their parents’ treachery, and thus informed their son Whirling Storm (who is named after Howling Storm) about the cheating. When Goose found this out, she attacked Howl, giving her a small scar on her shoulder. After this incident, they remained violently at odds for moons, even after Goose and Aloe broke up (due to Aloe falling out of love). This frostiness persisted until Howl rescued Goose from drowning, which confirmed she still cared about Goose. They were forced to work together on various projects and patrols, and over the course of several years (rp time) slowly grew back together (in part due to the efforts ofWhirling Storm, who viewed Howl as a second mother and wished to see the pair reunited). Eventually, the Tribe was forced to leave its homeland, and Howl and Goose confessed their love for each other for the second time, as their last act before departing from their native land. |
