Profile
Splatoon is where Viero began and Splatoon is where his heart and soul will stay. While I'm trying to move on to working more on original projects, this is where most of Vie's character development has come from and will continue for as long as I'm in a Splatoon RP circle.
PERSONALITY:
- Soft spoken, shy, and impatient.
- Loves aggressive skating, AKA trick rollerblading.
- Wants to be a vet and is kind to his pets and any wild animals. Gets good grades to ensure he'll become a vet one day.
- Has all X ranks under the pseudonym “V”. Takes it seriously but does enjoy messing around in PBs and Turf.
- He prefers to be alone and can become abrasive and snappy when he’s tired of someone’s company.
- But he is lonely and has few friends/no family. He tries to seem unbothered about it.
- Is very empathetic and will sometimes cry when someone he cares about is upset.
- Really bad at remembering names of people he does think about much.
- It may be from a combination of being so aloof and touch-starved, but he’s quick to develop crushes on people he actually enjoys being around.
This stung and continues to sting, but he’s learned how to be okay on his own and not rely on other people. Though, he longs for close relationships; romantic, platonic, or familial.
He finds solace in somewhat solitary sports like ranked and skating. He got into both by observing older kids, then trying (and eating shit) persistently until he learned how to do it on his own. He’s pretty big on watching Youtube tutorials.
He lives in a small apartment by himself near school. Though still financially supported by foster services, he’s very responsible about taking care of himself and staying on top of school.
All of his free time is spent in battle, at Blackbelly Skatepark, or at the Reef Animal Rescue. He doesn’t have a ‘job’, but earns money to take care of his pets by doing odd jobs at the shelter or by doing ink battle.
He kept with it for a few months, but ultimately became uncomfortable with Marie’s blasé attitude about killing Octarians and the building pressure put on him. He was able to push his feelings aside until he stood face-to-face with the Octo Samurai. With the smaller Octarians he could tell himself that they weren’t really people, and he saw the Octolings respawn when he took them down. But the Octo Samurai looks like a person. Viero then realized that all Octarians might be people, not just the Octolings, and he let himself fall to the Samurai. Later when returning to the base from his loss, he had a furious outburst at Marie.
Viero left the Squidbeak Splatoon with the heavy weight of disappointment, anger, and shame on his shoulders. Now much later, he regrets having a fit and running away, like he has done so much as a kid, instead of staying and figuring out how to complete his goal in the best way possible. He wants to apologize to Marie, but can’t find it in himself to do so. He wonders who she finally found to finish what he started.
Right now, Viero is a senior at Inko Academy. They spend most of their days fighting for their X rank in ink battle, showing off at Blackbelly Skatepark, or spending time with their two boyfriends, Beetle and Reese. With one of their boyfriends being an ex-agent 4 like them and the other being the current reigning, they've had a lot of support overcoming their past. They hope to continue helping others by pursuing a career as a vet tech after high school.
