Some say they’re old news, some say they’re behind the times… well I’ve got someone here who thinks differently! M: Almost… no it’s still not right… look, if the lighting isn’t perfect it’ll completely throw me off! Do you wanna be responsible for ruining this entire piece? … no… just a little more to the left… come on, it’s like I have to do everything myself, ugh... there! Perfect.

W: Uh, are you gonna start anytime soon-

M: Alright! please state your name for the official transcript.

W: Finally… Winny Cantara.

M: Ah yes, miss Winny, sweetheart of Caershire, poster girl of Phoenix Wing, and six star wizard to boot! Is there anything you can’t do…?”

W: (laughs slightly) Well, to be honest, I’d prefer we flip around the order of those qualities-

M: It’s surprising you still manage to claim so many magazine covers with outdated style like that…

W: Hey! My outfit was all locally made, I prefer to support local businesses! … And Grandma Urfang makes the best sweaters…

M: Yes, of course. It’s very… quaint. So how is your guild taking your crushing defeat at the Grand Magic Games?

W: It was hardly a crushing defeat. Phoenix Wing came in second amongst an enormous competition. I’m very proud of my guild.

M: Well… someone has to be… (ahem) An interesting claim… considering, as I recall it… weren’t you part of a different team during the games? The only conclusion I can draw is that your loyalties aren’t as clear cut as you imply…

W: Don’t be silly, Phoenix Wing are my family, like, literally. They raised me after my mom took off to… whatever, that’s not important. My siblings and I formed our own team for fun during the games, but Christi, Candi and Desmona are all part of Phoenix Wing now too, so my loyalties have never been stronger! We’ve got a new leader, a good personal friend of mine, and I’m sure he’s gonna make us better than ever before! He’s got all these new diplomacy plans, super smart guy, Julian Fenhar-

M: Uh huh… right. Sure. Interesting you should mention your mother… Is it true she betrayed Phoenix Wing when you were only (checks notes) six…? I have to ask, what is it about your guild that insights so much internal struggle…? Of course no one has forgotten that you lot were almost completely destroyed by  the betrayal of the dark despicable villain Otto Fenhardt only about 4 years ago…

W: (Clutches locket)……..

M: I’m simply saying, isn’t it possible someone in your ranks is plotting yet another attack right now as we speak-

W: Aren’t we here to talk about me or something?! I don’t see how this is related to me at all!

M: Ah, dearest apologies, it seems I’ve touched a nerve… How could I have forgotten your positively visceral reaction to him during the games…? A dark day for the golden girl indeed… Perhaps some of your mother’s murderous side passed on to you after all...

W: ……

M: Oh come now, no need to pout so much… Very well, let’s talk about you then. Such a shame, the fame always goes to their heads… so conceited… Is it true what I’ve heard…? There are photos circulating of you and a new romantic interest…?

W: Oh! Right. Yes. I am seeing someone currently. It’s been a while… but I think she’s good for me.

M: Well, don’t keep me waiting, you still have quite a following for a small town country girl… this news will break a lot of hearts out there. You owe it to your fans to dish the deets at the very least!

W: Well… Holly’s really nice-

M: That’s not what I heard. The word on the streets is (checks notes) she’s an ex member of the dark guild Cerberus Claw…? A supposed senior wizard like yourself must have seen the headlines they conjured up… Your ‘sweetheart’ took part in some of the most high profile heists we’ve ever seen in this country. A bank, a casino, a hotel… the latter ending with the death of the beloved late Melissa Goldenthorne… may she rest in peace... but perhaps that appeals to you…?

W: What’s that supposed to mean?

M: Oh sweetie… it’s a tale as old as time… a nice goodie two shoes like yourself just can’t resist a bad girl…

W: WHAT?! Oh my god, it is so not like that at all!! Look, we both just… fill a hole in each other… like, something that’s missing otherwise… but I don’t have to explain that to you!

M: Well then… darling… if you’re so determined not to answer any of my questions… why did you agree to an interview…?

W: (incoherent grumbling)

(Door slams open)

H: HEY, ARE YOU MAKIN MY GIRLFRIEND SAD?!

M: Excuse me, this is a closed set!

W: Oh, Holly! (Ahem) Remember I asked you to wait outside-

H: Don’t worry Win, I got this one~ You think you can waltz in here and hurt my girl’s feelings, huh?! I’ll show you!

M: Uh… what are you doing?! Stay away from me! Security!

W: Hun, we talked about this, remember, patience? Maybe you could try the deep breaths thing Julian suggested-

H: (Beastial growling)

M: Ahhhh!

W: Holly, wait!
