Personality

On the surface, Hope is your typical innocent and naive little girl, excitedly playing with dolls and holding her parents hand walking down the street. However, due to an unfortunate combination of her mother's outspoken confidence and her father's condescending ego, Hope speaks quite bluntly and has a tendency to lay down savage insults right in peoples faces. She genuinely doesn't mean anything bad by it, she's just naive and has no notion of her words upsetting people; she simply speaks her mind, unfiltered by consideration for others feelings. She's so brutal that she's been known to make adults cry with her sudden burns.

Nevertheless, she's still a child. She can be a bit bratty and pout when she doesn't get her way, and she adores being smothered with praise and attention. Like her mother she's quite active and athletic, though she prefers dancing, particularly with her ribbon baton, to her mother's rough-n-tumble sports. She thinks boys are icky, but her dad is okay.

Hope also gets seriously hyperactive and unruly when she consumes enough sugar. Her parents, horrified by past experiences, try to limit her intake to prevent further hijinks, but when left to her own devices, she'll chug pixie sticks like an addict and all hell breaks loose very quickly.

Background

Born to the fiercely tough Coach Howzer and the devilishly sly Paulie, Hope grew up observing her parents and picked up a lot of their bad habits. Her first word was probably a swear.

Synopsis

Hope, outside of school, can often be found in the company of her mother. While Coach is training the Marigold High sports time, her daughter will often be off by the side playing with her toys until practice is over. Sometimes she interacts with the students and ends up giving them an emotional beating with her sharp tongue; for a week or so following these instances, Coach will instead leave her babysat by one of the Randall sisters, giving her players time to heal from the trauma.
