Kirin will only drop his glamour after he has completely enthralled his prey and is sure they wont run away. Depending on his mood he can either be very animistic in his feeding or sweet and loving. More often than not though he likes to take his time trying to get as much energy out of it as possible. He learned from Kain how to feed on the feelings of affection and love instead of the soul of his prey. It keeps them from dying. In the end they might wake up just a bit sore and tired. The barbs on his member are soft unless he feels threatened by another demon. If another shows up while he is in the process of feeding they will harden locking him into his prey. When they harden though they only cause minimal pain before it is replaced with pleasure. A type of aphrodisiac is released from the barbs forcing the prey he is feeding on to relax and give into him. Another can't take them in this point. He can do the same thing by biting someone but this is not used around others. This tactic is only used if he is short on time. He can use this in his human form by just releasing the glamour on his mouth. In the case he does bite someone or injure them to protect his claim he can heal them once he is done feeding. The energy he gains from them can give him the ability to heal small wounds and or alter memory's. He could even straight up erase them if he doesn't plan to come back to this prey. A lot of the time though he likes the thrill of the chase and gaining the trust of his prey again so he will just erase memory's anyway.
He will frequently refer to his feeding nights as 'appointments' to keep everyone from understanding. Only Kain, Jane, and Kate know the full extent. He is very private about his 'appointments' even to his chosen family. He enjoys being able to stake his claim on certain prey as he can be jealous at times. Old habits die hard. Doesn't ever bring his prey back to his house though. Most of the time he will rent a hotel room so there is no questions. After he is done feeding he will leave a note that leads his prey to believe they passed out at a bar so he made sure they were safe for the night. Making them none the wiser. He has several people that he likes to go back to frequently but he also makes sure to keep those 'appointments' spread out so it doesn't happen to often. It's all about planning.
