Caiden Ravensdale

Caiden grew up in a small village just at the boarder of the Aradellan province. His mother was a merchant who fell in love with the prince of Aradella. One thing lead to another, and the prince had gotten her pregnant with their first son (Ronan). But because of political issues, the prince had to keep his love child and lover secret, thus cutting ties with the young merchant for many years. Ten years pass, and the prince finds the merchant once again, but a different side to the man she once loved reared its ugly head. After an unfortunate circumstance, the young merchant became pregnant with her second child (Caiden), and the prince once again cut ties with her.

Growing up, Caiden and his brother both grew to resent their biological father. Being the bastard sons of the now corrupt king of Aradella, Caiden and Ronan wanted nothing to do with the kingdom. The only true father they saw in their eyes was their step-father, Russel. Caiden looked up greatly to his step-father -- wanted everything to be like he was.
When Caiden turned 10, his brother was murdered by the hands of their biological father himself. This in turn fueled more hatred to the man, and as Caiden grew older, he sought a way to end his father.
Once Caiden was around 18, yet another tragedy stuck.
The king set a plethora of his men out on the very village Caiden and his family resided in to end the mistake he made in his youth. In the end, Caiden's mother, step-father, and then younger sister perished in the raid. Caiden on the other hand, was captured by the soldiers and was forced to reside within the kingdom of Aradella.
Caiden learned the ways of the country, learned how cruel and disgusting this country was, and soon became fueled with a hatred some would say is greater than wrath itself.
Caiden became cruel, spiteful, and malicious, having tried to trick his father into trusting him. It wasn't long before Caiden came up with a plan to assassinate his father, but to his dismay, the plan was a failure. Caiden immediately was banished, imprisoned, and beaten for almost 5 years.
However, on one lucky day, Caiden managed to escape his imprisonment.
His uncle, Thomas, whom Caiden trusted and saw more fit to be leader of Aradella than his father, found him and secretly set him free. It was then that Thomas told Caiden to seek another uncle of his -- a man known as Alexid (the bastard son of the previous king, Caiden's grandfather). Thus Caiden set out to find this uncle, and attempted to join his army - the Ordinance as it was dubbed. However, each attempt Caiden made did not sway his uncle into allowing him to join.
It wasn't until many, many years that Caiden successfully managed to get into the Ordinance, and that is where he is as of recent.

Caiden has always dealt with trust issues due to his past, but is starting to get better. Since being a part of the Ordinance, he has managed to make new friends, as well as found his fiance there. He's no longer spiteful, but more so spontaneous and devoted. Sure, he's overly protective and clingy, but he is a dragon after all. Caiden continues to run from his past each passing day -- hoping that a smile and brightening up some one else's day is what helps him go on. But he has a very bad habit of bottling up emotions in fear of becoming like his father.
His fiance has been trying to help him with this, but it has been quite the challenge...
