kithood [ 0 - 6 moons ] >
     Loonkit was the last-born kit of Kitefang and Patches' litter, after his sisters Mudkit and Lightkit and his brother Amberkit. He was born in the EmberClan nursery, despite being a HailClan cat, though doesn't remember too much about the nursery. However, as he managed to develop the ability to analyze, Loonkit was quick to judge the HailClan camp after moving back to what would be his home. He took a liking to the EmberClan camp--not because he liked EmberClan, but because the camp seemed safer to him.
    Loonkit's entire intention was to go about his life alone, but it seemed a certain she-kit from the other litter in the nursery decided otherwise. This she-kit, known as Harekit, was the first to consider him for more than his cold exterior demeanor, which he couldn't help but let his heart be touched by it. Still, he would never let that show. He still is determined to say she isn't a friend, in which she seems to believe they are.
    Aside from Harekit, Loonkit keeps to himself for the majority of his kithood. He often pushes away his own littermates and never joins in on their games. He even saw Salmonkit from the other litter of kits give him a bit of a glare once, which seemed weird coming from such a happy tom-kit. Loonkit found it easy to ignore though and continue about his life, deciding that emotions were unnecessary and made things only more complicated.
    It was maybe halfway into his kithood when Loonkit's father, Kitefang, was suddenly promoted to be HailClan's leader. Kitestar suddenly had more on his paws with three kits and an entire clan to care for. Loonkit didn't care, though he couldn't help but be proud to be the son of a leader. He never boasted about it, but whenever he was addressed at Kitestar's son, it made his chest just a bit lighter. He continued to feel this up until his apprenticeship ceremony, where he knew that he would have to start working to earn that respect and honor for himself. And he was prepared to do it all.

apprenticeship [ 6 - 12 moons ] >
    After his brother and sisters were made apprentices and given their mentors, it was finally Loonkit's time to get out of the nursery. After obtaining the name Loonpaw, he was given Dovefire as a mentor. And this decision... he wasn't sure what he thought of it. On one paw she seemed like a good warrior with great skills to pass down to him. But on the other, he knew of her self-confidence and ego, and he was not looking forward to having to deal with that.
    Almost right after he had been made an apprentice, a good portion of CloudClan had come to HailClan seeking shelter. They spoke of the Storm--a group of rogue cats--invading their territory and taking over their camp. Personally, Loonpaw felt HailClan should care for themselves and not worry about CloudClan and their issues, but he didn't argue when his father agreed to help them and let them stay in the camp. Of course, that made everything more crowded and more tedious. Loonpaw didn't care for the sudden increase of cats in the camp.
    For a long time, he continued about his life normally, ignoring the fact that CloudClan was there, and continuing to ignore all of his denmates, including his littermates. He knew it didn't help with their relationships, but at the time he didn't care. That is until his father sent the cats of both HailClan and CloudClan out to go against the Storm and Amberpaw decided to join the patrol. Loonpaw didn't join at first, thinking it was ridiculous to risk HailClan lives for the issue that they were not currently a part of. But he was quick to change his mind as his thoughts kept going back to his brother. He only wished he changed his mind faster because, by the time he got there, Amberpaw had been attacked by a rogue and injured across his face. And, when it was determined that his brother would never see again, Loonpaw couldn't help but blame himself for not being faster. He continues to hold a grudge against himself for it, but even more, realized something; what sort of StarClan would let this happen to such a young tom? Angered and cursing out the ancestors everyone else believed in, Loonpaw's own belief began to crumble, but he never told anyone, knowing that his clanmates would be too devoted to the so-called StarClan to hear him out.
    Now, with every rogue on his hate-list, Loonpaw is even more determined to get the Storm out of the forest and get CloudClan back to where they belong. He was sure to include himself in any moments that the clan cats would get to attack the Storm. Even if his father, who now fretted over his kits at every moment, didn't want him to go, he would disobey his orders and do so. Anything to go back to the way things were supposed to be, even if that meant it wasn't perfect. But it all came to an abrupt halt when Fogflower was suddenly killed after the Storm raided the HailClan camp, destroying their herb storages in the process. HailClan felt at a loss of what to do, having lost their medicine cat and no way to heal what was damaged. Would the forest ever be rid of the Storm?
   Thankfully, it wasn't long after that MarshClan and their part of CloudClan had rediscovered the underground tunnels, which conveniently connected straight to CloudClan's camp. It wasn't long before the four clans devised a plan to drive out the Storm once and for all. Kitestar insisted that his kits stay behind for this battle, as they were going straight into the heart of the rogues. As much as he didn't want to, Loonpaw reluctantly agreed and stayed in camp, keeping his brother company in the medicine den. His dumb sisters, however, did quite the opposite as they snuck out to follow the clan to the tunnels. It gave Loonpaw anxiety as he thought about all the things that could have happened to them while they were out there, so when his sisters and father all returned home safely, he had never been hit by such a huge wave of relief. His family was safe, and he was even happier to hear that Onyx and King had been killed, leaving the Storm to flee and, hopefully, never return.
   CloudClan was quick to return to their territory after the Storm was rid of, returning HailClan to the best normal that they could accomplish. But it wasn't the same. Fogflower was dead, cats have died, and of course, most important to Loonpaw, Amberpaw had gone blind. However, time stopped for no one, and Loonpaw was forced to go on. He was quick to pick back up on his normal training. And it wasn't too much longer before he was standing in front of his father to receive his warrior name.

warriorhood [ 12 - present moons ] >
    After so many painful moons as an apprentice, Loonpaw was finally named a warrior. After his sisters received their names--Mudfang and Lightshadow respectively--Loonpaw was given his name Looneyes. He had requested it previously; he took it from a list of suggestions that his sister had made. He couldn't, however, be as happy as a normal warrior was during their ceremony as he looked into the medicine den. There, Amberpaw still laid resting and recovering from the Storm's damage, unable to receive his warrior name with his siblings. It broke Looneyes' heart that they couldn't all get their names together, or whether Amberpaw would get a warrior name at all.
    At first, his life continued on as normal as he worked to be a great warrior for HailClan. He no longer had to worry about babysitting his mentor, nor did he have to train with his sisters. Granted, he did notice that Mudfang was starting to mellow out again, which he was thankful for. He continued to visit Amberpaw in the medicine den until he was ready to get back up and train. And when his brother was able to do so, he was glad to see that Amberpaw wasn't letting his blindness affect him too much. Maybe this meant that Amberpaw could become a warrior after all. And, eventually, he did. Amberpaw was made a warrior two moons after the rest of them were, given the name Ambermask. Looneyes was proud of his brother, and he was looking forward to seeing Ambermask in the warriors' den from then on.
    Then, Sparrowchirp began to involve herself in Looneyes' life more. He wasn't sure why, but he wasn't opposed to it. She was a breath of fresh air to Looneyes' life. It wasn't such a terrible feeling to feel acquainted with one of the kits from Squirrelnose and Lilacpool's litter again, especially since the last time he did it ended in only hurting his own heart. And, for some unknown reason, Looneyes was okay with the strange feeling he would get whenever he talked to Sparrowchirp. Maybe his past self would get angry with himself, or brush it off as a fluke, but his heart seemed to be changing for the better.
