Aubrey fell in love with Elle slowly - even if he could've said something, it would've been too late - she was always busy chasing after someone else. He resigned himself to just get over it, trying to bury his feelings so he could continue his friendship with her. She was too important to him to lose over something stupid like this, not after everything they'd been through, throughout the years. He intended to never confess, but one day, when she was single and upset, it blurted out of him - he swore he could've passed out right there and then from embarassment!

After a lot of laughing, Elle looked at him in a different way. A smile went across her face as she seemed to consider something.
