Aaliyah

Aaliyah was a slave, captured in a skirmish on a feral planet (planet ruled mostly by wildlife, little to no civilization).  Empress Wanmei, at the time Crown Princess, took a liking to her and ransomed her from the brothel that bought her for hard labor.  Aaliyah became one of her favorite handmaids, and Wanmei kept her close out of fondness.

They met on the second stop in Princess Wanmei's Coronation Tour, in Nazareth; it was only for a few months before they traveled to Salem, and Aaliyah met Uri.  The two almost fell in love at first sight, and Aaliyah was super grateful that Wanmei allowed her to be ransomed on an act of bravery alone.  She continued to wear Corinthian garb out of love for her savior and friend, Wanmei.

After twenty four years of marriage, Aaliyah died in childbirth with their first child, an unnamed son.  Uri still loves her deeply, as shown by the unfaded mating mark over his heart.
