✦ Personality
Like a dark cloud in a bright sky. Tolly is a pessimist with rapier wit and a brain as big Saturn. How he fits it in his head we will never know- he's more then a head shorter then Roz and generally can't look people in the eye without going on tip-toe, which has given him a pit of a Napoleon complex. Still,it makes him feel better to be important- and he is, he's the court sorcerer and, using magic, can travel between his world and ours.
In other news, Tolly's a huge nerd and loves to read, he will tuck himself away with a book for hours. He also tends to see the worst in people, which is a huge grounding influence on Roz and allows many impartial decisions on his part. Tolly is at home in social and diplomatic situations (he can talk himself out of most things) but has little skill when it comes to anything physical. His favorite thing to do is sigh and massage his forehead because the world is just so stupid sometimes (all the time.)
✦ Appearance
A 5'4" man with brown skin and eyes, and dark hair. In a world where all people have animal features, but the less animal you look the higher your social standing, Tolly is part of an aristocratic family with only one or two partial mutations - in his case, only pointed ears. He actually has gold eyes and pointed teeth, but he uses a magical glamour to hide them. His usually outfit is a dark purple suit.

History: Tolly is the son of a lord who was loyal to the rebellious Prince (later King) Delroy. When Tolly was 17, he and his family left with Delroy and a several-thousand strong group of his followers from their old home, and journeyed to a new land and a castle infested with monsters. His father set him up close to the king and within 5 years he became one of the King’s advisors. He currently is the King’s right hand man, the calm rational yin to Roz’s firey, battle ready yang.
Powers: Magic in Tolly's world are based on a complex language of runes which, when marked on the body, give the user magical powers (their strength and potency relies on the material which which the mark is made and how perfectly it is done). Magic was recently discovered and Tolly is a pioneer in the runic system. He also wears a bracelet with magical stones which allow him to tear open holes in space to travel between dimensions. It is unknown who made the first of these bracelets and their creation is a lost art.
| Raine | Caring for and teaching the young princess is somewhat of a chore, initially, but as he gets to know her he finds her honesty and down-to-earth nature infectious and begins to let down his guard and even become friends with her. He's not the most friendly of men, so that that mostly manifests in agreeing to teach her magic instead of just politics (which she would likely fall asleep for anyway) |
| Roz | Tolly is often infuriated by Roz’s boisterous nature and finds her annoying frequently insufferable. They argue all the time and he tries to avoid her outside of necessary circumstances. Though as he has to spend time with her preparing Raine to take the throne, he has begun to find her more bearable, even beginning to find her strength somewhat attractive. |
