Only a fragment of his true self, this form of Pollen existed separate for as long as he could remember. He and Mushroom had been born from death, their existences beginning as two shattered pieces of a whole. To Pollen, Mushroom as a being continuously morphed/changed. What he saw as a parasitic fungus that which he despised and feared was, in reality, far from that — a truth he has since come to embrace.
