Izanami

Izanami is the current ruler of the underworld, and a retired metal band member. Originally, she used to live with her husband, Izanagi, but died giving childbirth. She was then sent to the underworld, and decided to eat at a buffet they were having at the time. Unfortunately, the food bounded her to the underworld. Her husband attempted to take her back to heaven, but was terrified at her new appearance and ran away. While this saddened her deeply, the people of the underworld supported her, and crowned her ruler of the underworld. She then set it up to less gloomy, realizing that it was a little too boring seeing people suffer. She now goes to heaven often to see her husband, despite what happened centuries ago. 

Trivia:

• She was shocked to hear that her husband was gifted children.
• She had to raise Susanoo herself!
• For a while, she was in a Metal Band, but currently has retired from it due to heaven complaining that she and her band was too loud.
