Xok

There used to be an old lady living on a tookey farm for a LONG time. It's a small piece of property but its enough for her and her tookeys. eventually, a young couple buys/inherits the land next to hers which is HUGE, and decide they don't like her and decide to try harrassing her away. They do things like setting up their manure/compost piles right next to the boundary by her house, sneaking onto her land and opening the tookey coop at night, being rude to her, reporting her for nonexistent rural code violations (like building/farming practices). She manages to endure it because she's a stubborn old mule, but eventually one of her tookeys wanders onto their property (previous owner was fine with it so she was never worried) and they kill it because it was on their property.

That was the last goddamn straw. She goes up to them, yelling and screaming, the law gets involved, but ultimately the couple just gets a slap on the hand and a fine. Next time they come over to complain to her about something nonexistent, she locks eyes with them and says "I'm not doing anything until you replace my tookey." They don't get it but they don't like her Vibe and they skedaddle. She eventually dies of old age (she's really old) and her farm goes to a family friend of hers, who the couple also harrasses. They continue being dickbags until they have their first kid. Who is remarkably twizzy colored. The first time the new landowner sees the kid they go 'oh, you finally decided to replace the tookey you killed, huh?' They suddenly understand what she did all those years ago and think "well maybe they'll just look funny, and there'll be no harm"

The first time Xok paralyzed one of them they went as far from their farm as they could and dumped them in the wilderness.

Xok has magic that can paralyze similar to a cockatrice- they actually become rooster-colored as they grow up. How much magic they use makes the paralysis last for more or less time, but it can also be cured via other forms of magic. However, they're Baby atm so they don't have any restraint, kinda like how a baby snake cant dose its venom, so they dump all their magic into it for a long time- depending on how susceptable you are to magic, this can last a couple days without help. They do it in self defense though- they're not actually trying to cause harm.
