Backstory

Pidgeon started his life in the caves, small and curious. He grew up slowly, always wanting to travel from beyond the holes in the cliff he lived in, impatient to leave when he was deemed old enough. He was always staring beyond the rock face, over the mountain range. what was out there? His parents and older siblings all told Pidge to wait, that he'd outgrow his wanderlust. One day, he'd had enough and decided to that he wouldn't stand for it anymore. at the young age of fifteen, he fought with his entire family, and bitterly, packed his belongings and left. No one thought he was serious.

Unfortunately for them, he was, and he had no intention of returning home anytime soon. At first, he stayed away out of spite, but then he learned that he loved the outside world. It was all so new and exciting. However, wonder doesn't fill an empty stomach, and he never learned to hunt or forage. so instead, he found a city and scraped by with a mix of panhadling and pickpocketing. He was a terrible person, spitting on people who he thought were lower than him and revelling in his appearance and self rightousness. That changed when he was beat down by the wrong person to piss off. He appeared to be nothing more than a normal 'scum of society' type, and Pidgeon spat in his face just like all the others. Wrong choice. His feathers ended up matted with blood, and his prized gliders almost ended up sliced, meaning he would have been unable to glide. His best skill hung in the balance. He left Pidge in an alley, and Pidge look a good time to reevaluate who he was. He vowed to change, to return to his roots. He would live not for himself, but for everything he could do and everyone he could meet. He held it close to his heart, and swore on his life that he would better himself every day. That didn't mean that he couldn't have fun, though.

Pidgeon's acts of 'selfishness' now often end up with him helping someone out, or getting revenge on someone who did something wrong in his eyes. He'll only pickpocket soemone who was a douche, or steal food in order to give it away to someone who needs it. He deems himself "just a smidge of a vigilante". He's come a long way since he left home, and he knows it, but he's even more excited to find out who he'll be in the future and where he'll go. Life's an adventure, after all, not meant to be spent cooped up in one place.
