Character
Mekur is a playfull character, but he can become really cruel towards anyone who dares insult or hurt his family or his crew, especially his captain and his sister.
He is often seen flirting with people to obtain what he want, using his charm to lure men and women to buy and give him whatever he want.
It is really hard to gain his trust and his respect, at the moment, only his crew earned it, thus he is really protective with them.

Story
Early life
He's charming, flirty, affectionate and perhaps a little too immature. He likes to steal from upper-class people who brags about their money or their wealth. He's favorite way to steal people is to flirt with them and lure them to give him everything he wants.
He was born in a high class family, but during a cruise with his parents and his sister when he was 8 years old, their ship was attacked by some pirate crew. The passengers panicked due to the attack and he was pushed and knocked off, before being kidnapped by the pirates. His parents didn't notice the disapperance of their son until after the pirate left the ship, and was told by the captain of the cruise ship that he was probably pushed overboard during the attack, this conduct his family to think that he drowned and was dead.
First Pirate Crew
Being knocked off during the attack, lead to amnesia. He has still some vague memory of his family, but can't really recall everything proprely. He was taken care of by the doctor of the pirate ship who kidnapped him. To pay of his debt to the crew, they teach him how to steal. Being a kid and really small, he was able to sneak into a lot of building to steal for them.
He wasn't really close to any of the pirate, aside from the "doctor" (he didn't know his name, and only refers to him as "Doctor"). He see them as some kind of father figure, always treating his injuries when he was back from a dangerous stealing mission and telling him stories. The Doctor was the one who crafter his fake jewlery-incrusted-eye, since Merkur lost one of his eye during one of his mission. He was close to another kid, Sören, they were often seen fighting, but they cared about each others very much.
Fugitif
When Merkur was approximatly 12, the Doctor was accused of betraying the crew, since he attended to the wound of a marine during a battle. He was immediatly executed by the captain. Merkur, who saw the Doctor as his father-figure, couldn't take it. He stole some of the crew's treasure, and fled.
Because of this, he was seen as a traitor by the crew and Sören too. He was then continualy trying to escape from the crew and the marine. He would sneak into some random ship, just to escape, stealing them in the process.
Trivia
- He is very good at hide and seek
- He hides himself while counting his treasure because, he likes to sing while counting it, but he don’t like when someone hear him sing. (nobody know if he is a good singer or not)
- He often uses of his charm to get what he want
- He is really insecure about his freckles
- He has lost his left eye and have a fake eye with some sort of jewelry incrusted in it (his green eye)
- He don’t really mind sharing his “findings” with people close to him
Related
His captain. He is really loyal to him. There is some rumor that the first time they met Nash found him in a box and kind of "adopted him" like an abandonned cat.
His sister. He doesn't remember her. She always thought that he was dead. She joined Sören crew to look for him, seeing a bounty of Merkur one day in the news, and knowing by seeing it that it was her brother.
An old friend of him. They used to be in the same ship when they were little and used to get along well. They kind of have a love/hate reliationship. They want to kill each other but don't really like when the other is getting hurt by a third party. Sören wasn't aware of the all "Doctor" situation, and just thought that Merkur was a fugitif, leading to the hatefull relatioship between the two.
