Background:

Still under a bit of construction but she is an Alchemist who creates potions, medicines, elixirs, poisons, medicines and remedies. She holds an apprenticeship for her father, who Is of the same profession directly employed under the king. Her mother is part of an elite coven of witches who perform magic for the king, often used for defense, weapons, punishment, or whatever magic may be convenient for. Athena inherited her ability to shift and her cat/humanoid form from her mother.  Athena may partake in the occasional ritual or spell, but her preference is alchemy for it seems more grounded in logic and that’s how Ave likes it. She is yet to get a younger sibling because her parents were "too busy to take care of another child”. Athena had always sort of wanted another child to play with and care for, but because of the lack of said thing as well as the emotional disconnect between her and her parents, she instead lived a childhood consisting of honing her skills as an alchemist as well as taking detailed observations of random obsessions and tormenting the castle staff with laughable pranks and potions. Now a days she is a workaholic just as her parents were and in her free time (when she has any) consists of drinking tea, reading the newest scientific theories and occasionally still preforming impish pranks.

Likes:

-Tea

(She likes a nice glass of tea to collect her thoughts or focus herself before an important experiment. She also loves how easy it is to add "special" ingredients that could make the brew either delectable or rather unpleasant. Let's just say that most of the castle staff are now hesitant to taste a cup offered by our little alchemist girl. )

-Reading

(Athena is a lifelong learner who is constantly striving to increase her ever-expanding understanding of the world. Her favorite books are philosophy and scientific theories. Her least favorite would be romance and books about spells or magic. Books also seemed to be what accompanied Athena during her childhood instead of a sibling or other children)

-Flute

(Her mother has a magic flute that Athena was enchanted by as a child when her mother would actually find time to play it with her daughter. While she never desired to learn how to play it herself, she very much enjoys the whimsical notes that the instrument emits. During the seldom event that she goes out of the castle, she loves to run upon street performers and always tips the ones that are playing flute.)

-Sunsets

(living in a castle offers the opportunity to stand on a stone balcony and watch as the sun sets and lays the night upon the castle and the city. And Athena takes the opportunity to do this almost nightly. Something about watching the stars slowly fade back into existence is surprisingly calming for the mind and Athena likes to take these times to clear her mind and simply exist without feeling the need to do much else.)

-Glass

(The way that it looks and sounds when it breaks, the way it holds the precious powders and substances that she works with, how elegant and mesmerizing it is as light refracts upon its surface. Athena has a weird passion for glass. Her choice of jewelry and décor usually consists of it and when she goes into town she likes to go to the glassmaker to buy a new trinket from him or simply watch him work.)

Dislikes: 

-Vegetables

(There was never really anyone there to make her eat everything on her plate, so while she really hasn't tried many she claims to hate them all. Other than that she isn't really a picky eater and her diet consists of foods mainly form the grain group as well as fruit and tea. She isn't the biggest fan of meat, not because of the taste but simply because she finds it annoying to have to chew)

-Small talk

(She doesn't really find pleasure in having conversations in general, but ones that are especially petty or unnecessary are quick to agitate.

-Magic

(Athena holds a large amount of respect for her mom's magic, as well as magic in general because of what it is capable of. However, she finds it a little bit ridicules at times and prefers logic or science to justify and explain the world. She is uncomfortable with just relying on or putting faith into an unseen "force" or power.)

Other info:

-She likes to shift into feline form at night and sneak into the library with a little candle in a jar. She finds these times most appealing to indulge in a particularly enjoyable book or write theory or notes. She enjoys this time most because there is almost no chance of having to interact with anyone and it feels as if she has the whole place to herself
