Species
Brent is a smeargle/litten hybrid that takes more after smeargle in physical appearance and litten in coloration. His ears are more cat-like and usually folded back to fit more comfortably around his 'beret'. His tail is also shorter and thicker than normal smeargle, allowing him to actually balance it without carrying if he chooses to, and his paint color is a fiery red. As he was never a part of a tribe he also lacks the maturity pawprint on his back. He tends to collect and keep several random animal plushies on hand that sometimes get used as canvases for his work.
Personality
Brent can be slightly skittish around strangers but once he settles into a location he enjoys sharing his paintings with anyone that will listen. When not caught up in a project or showing his work off he can come across as lazy, preferring to sun or laze comfortably on a sturdy tree branch. He has a preference for trees and high places and seems to enjoy finding the most obscure spot to nap in.
History
Brent never had a tribe and was raised by his torracat father on the fringes of a small human town where he mostly learned how to scavenge and beg for food. He got by well enough and as he taught himself how to paint he found that the humans liked his work and were willing to pay for it. With a more stable way to earn a living there he saved money from his early works and eventually bought a small shed on the outskirts of town that he converted into a studio.
