BACKGROUND.
Fiendlings are made of two components. The first part is the spirit, which you can see coming through as horns, tails and in their eyes. This is also the part that they refer to as their self, as opposed to their physical vessel. They claim to be descended from a primordial embodiment of fear, a lesser deity of sorts that they call their mother. This entity lives in another realm which her children spawn in. Unable to maintain their natural form for long outside of their birthplace, these offspring needed some kind of shell to stabilize them if they want to roam the physical realm.
The second part is the body, which is comprised of hollow parts for the spirit to fill out and always bears a letter "G" signature. Each is apparently unique and handcrafted and though they are made of porcelain, these bodies are unusually sturdy and magic runes on the inside of the head apparently enable it to move without joints. They can enter a dormant mode in which they close their eyes, their horns and tails temporarily retract into their body and could be mistaken for ordinary dolls in this state - Don't be fooled!
