vardan x nebula breeding result; horse tail, rosebud-carved amythest core, physical/ethereal steel, energy, and rose quartz ring
one of a pair of twins born to vardan; neither twin knows their other father's identity, only that he's a man and that vardan still kind of carries a one-way torch for him.
as a child, shihab is sensitive, shy, and kind. As an adult, he's still that.... but he hides it under a delinquient persona. he desperately, desperately wants affection as much as he's afraid to let anyone get close--or, once they do get close, to let them out of his sight. he has massive abandonment issues.
Mostly resembles a cooler-toned version of Vardan, but his hair and face are distinctly that of another man.
they were an accident, born when vardan was younger and even more of a disaster than he is now. while he ended up giving the twins to relatives to raise (he quickly realized that he was not capable of raising a child, let alone two at once), he tried to stay involved with them. that changed when they were 14 and his desperation hit its peak, and he suddenly vanished from their lives (unbeknownst to them, because he was trying to protect them). shihab deeply grieved the loss of his father, having been very close to him, and started acting out.
as the years passed, shihab grew into an angry and violent adult. so, when thirty years later he saw his father following an auracorn in the street, it was not terribly surprising that he reacting by running up to the man, punching him, and yelling "what the FUCK dad" (soreile's reaction mostly being "wait you have a son, what the fuck"). vardan dragged shihab off to the side where any more violence would not catch attention, and spent the time walking there trying to explain that he vanished to protect the twins. when they were out of sight, he tried to punch vardan again, missed, and just started sobbing.
These days while vardan still doesn't visit them directly, he at least sends letters and gifts through services that leave the senders identity ambiguous. shihab hasn't entirely forgiven his father for vanishing, but... the fact that he's trying makes him willing to consider it.
