𝟎𝟔𝟖 ‣ Rosrolei

Born to a long lineage of knights, Rosrolei's life has always been laid out in front of them. The Roseflame crest has historically been flown alongside that of the royal family ; as such, Rosrolei was expected to be the one true knight for the young prince at the time.

However, Rosrolei soon learned of a great conspiracy hiding underneath the kingdom's history : the entirety of their mythos, legends, and heroes, were all lies, and the Earth Wanderers had been at the forefront of a worldwide colonization effort which suppressed many other races 2,000 years ago. This had been enacted in a bid to claim all of the Time Crystals—little trinkets, which contained immense power, gifted by the gods before they ultimately left the realm. Shocked and appalled at the horrors of their people, Rosrolei, along with their liege, conspired to steal the kingdom's Time Crystal, lest their monarch succeed in the plan concocted 2,000 years ago to take over the entire world with its power.

Unfortunately, Rosrolei's liege perished during the night of the plan, staying behind so Rosrolei could run away. Not wishing to disgrace their companion's memory, Rosrolei fled deep into the Land of Sands, where they have been residing ever since, guarding the Time Crystal. Their theft 5 years prior to the start of the story is what kickstarts the main party's quest, as the king of their kingdom sends our protagonists on a journey to reclaim the stolen Crystal. Met with these "heroes," Rosrolei can only hope that they can be able to change the minds of those brainwashed by a false history…
