Appearance

Curse, in his true angelic form, is a large (11’3) dark green skinned creature with dark red markings in his torso, arms and legs. He wears a bony mask in the shape of a whiskered cat and has painted red markings on its forehead, ears and cheeks. He has two green wings on each side of his head with green, red and blue eye markings. He has a pair of similarly colored wings covered his crotch. He has bony clawed hands and feet along with two pairs of rib-like bone protrusions on his stomach. He has a mane of black fur on his head and his forearms and legs are covered in the same black fur. He has a long tail tipped with black fur. On the center of his chest, he has a green gem shaped like a heart surrounded by three eye markings. His most striking feature are his wings—consisting of two feathered segments, one red and one blue and a leathery section patterned in a green galaxy pattern.

As a human, Curse prefers to present as plainly as possible. He appears as a tall (6’3”) chubby tanned man with shaggy medium black hair and chocolate brown eyes. In his halfway point form, he gains his angelic main wings and head wings, tail, furry arms and legs, clawed hands and feet (albiet in dark grey instead of bony) and red markings. His eyes also change to match his eye markings; becoming green, red and blue.

Curse prefers to wear comfortable items like polo shirts, jeans or sweats. He wears boots often. He has a favored brown coat he wears often.

Personality

As the youngest (not quite) archangel, due to being a rare case of an ordinary angel being promoted, it would make sense Curse doesn’t exactly fit in with his peers. His peers find his cheerful and upbeat attitude endearing but ultimately naive. While he may be naive, he has a stronger moral compass than others expect from him. He believes strongly that the angels shouldn’t be making choices for anyone else, reasoning that that was reason why their Creator withdrew. He believes all creatures, even those who are called “evil” have a purpose in the scheme of things and have the potential to be more than what they are labeled as. He dislikes violence, which comes to blows with Heaven’s current crusade against all things they deem “evil”.

History

Curse started existence as an angel like any other but his strict diligence and enjoyment of the tasks he was given meant he easily caught the eyes of his higher-ups. Over many many millenia, he was promoted over and over until he joined the other high-ranking angels, just below the true archangels. However, his tasks turned more bureaucratic and less engaging to him, making him bored. He found the pomp and circumstance in the higher orders ultimately useless and just for show, craving true action over hollow shows. He wanted to do tangible good. So, he excused himself to some “super important task that couldn’t be delayed” on Earth and simply...never returned. Whether or not anyone cared that he left, he doesn’t know and doesn’t care to find out.

On Earth, he decided to live among humanity, helping them in small but nonetheless significant ways, as he believed that even the smallest gifts could still bring great joy. In modern times, he goes by the alias “Curse” and owns and runs a small but popular bakery in a more rural, isolated area. Life is quiet—as he likes it—but perhaps a chance encounter with what should be ideological opposite will shake things up.

Skills

While he is not a true archangel (as all those were born archangels), Curse still comes very close to them and is called one. He can teleport but prefers flight, using his large wings. He can utilize illusionary abilities to change his appearance and his environment—though those with high supernatural prowess may be able to realize something is off. Those who can see straight through them are few and far between. He can conjure objects from seemingly nowhere, though he admits he doesn’t know where they come from. He can use telepathy and telekinesis, though these are his rarer abilities.

His stronger abilities include the ability to manipulate light. While it can be used offensively to smite and purge evil, he prefers to use it defensively as he abhors violence.

As an angel, he can take a beating and is nearly unkillable. He believes only those equal in hierarchy to him can truly kill him and has even more reason to live incognito. What injuries he can’t fully withstand, he can regenerate back from.

• Curse is relatively obscure in human knowledge, known mainly for his diligence and loyalty to humanity. He’s considered abnormal for his “grey” morality among angels. He’s associated with parrots, due to his wings.
