Shayla Cortes

Shayla Cortes is an assassin and priestess for the Church of Ideals. She was born in Opeluid City and raised under the care of a Church of Ideals orphanage. Her talent and raw power was recognized at a young age, so she was put into training to become a priestess and assassin for the church. It was a rigiours and tough training that has resulted in Shayla's more serious and closed off demenour. By age 17, she received the tattoos on her arms that allow her to use the legendary V-Create technique. After mastering the technique, she was sent into the Unovan wilds to join a pack of Quilava which allowed her to achieve feral transformation. 

Upon completing her priestess training, Shayla was assigned as an assassin for the Church of Ideals. Due to her skill as a solo assassin, Shayla was eventually assigned a team. She has since been tasked with two main missions: Protect the Hero of Ideals and capture the Hero of Truth. She intends to do so in hopes of continuing to prove her worth to the regime, though she sometimes wonders if she could ever leave the life of an assassin for something quieter. She would never admit it, but she does have her doubts about the church and their teachings.
