Backstory: Daleyza lives in a large city with a very basic office job for one of the many newspaper companies in the country. She is rather apathetic to most things, feeling sad and lonely despite having many opportunities to find friends. She struggles with anxiety, thus the reasoning for rarely talking with coworkers or others she meets. She finds it hard to find things to do, mostly passing everyday the near same way. Working, then resting at home until the next day.
One day, however, her life changed upon a different world managing to communicate with her via her bathroom mirror. How or why this has happened is completely unknown to her, not being well versed in the various magic happenings on the world of Cabibera. The other being who found her was also...rather shocked and surprised. They managed to converse with notes pressed against the glass, neither able to hear the other. She slowly learned the other flame-like being was named Arjun, a struggling waiter on a nearby planet, who was simply looking into the mirror by the bus stop. The two became semi-friends, teaching each other the differences between their worlds and discovering how far they really were from each other.
Somehow, by mistake a few months after their first meeting, Arjun had managed to slip through the mirror into Daleyza's world. It was completely unexpected for both of them, and shortly after his arrival, neither could see into his world from the mirror. Secretly, Daleyza was glad he could not go back, therefore she would not be alone. It took some adjusting, but Arjun discovered he quite liked Cabibera, and the city he now lives in with Daleyza.
