        Her mothership, The Hive, has traveled for too long and for too far now to return to their depleted mother-planet. She was born on this ship, as were all of her many Sisters. The Hive has sustained generations of her kind and none remain of the original generation, the generation who saw the final crumbs of their mother-planet’s resources stripped and chose to board The Hive to escape their doom. Honor and trust are held on to too tightly to believe that the original Sisters were anything but right to start this expedition. If there is no faith in the mission, no faith in the Sisters, then space will swiftly consume the hopeless. 

        The Hive's colony has little resources besides what they can gather from alien planets that they manage to locate. Driven by a need to keep moving, the Mother-Queen doesn't let The Hive ever stop on its quest forward. Instead, she sends out specially trained and selected Sisters to venture out individually on solo missions to seek salvation among the stars and return with what they can gather. Wayfinder is one such Sister. 

        To say goodbye to her Sisters is always a solemn affair but she loads into her cockpit and greets this strange planet alone. There is a wealth of pollen producing flora, which gives her heart its first taste of hope, but she discovers she is not alone here. Other insectoids from across the stars have descended upon this planet with the same hunger and violent desperation. This Eden planet is brimming with resources and life but the native life, flora and fauna alike, prove the old legends of giants. Wayfinder must survive in this explosion of strange and dangerous mega-fauna and mega-flora while also fighting off aggressive competitive insectoids who want to claim the planet for themselves. Wayfinder knows her colony needs these resources to keep living, to keep exploring and pushing forward. Knowing this, she joins the fray.
