Basics
Zandre is a confident, short eagle with a thirst for adventure and knowledge. From a young age, he's always wanted to explore what the world had to offer. When Zandre was age 7, his father- the village's hero- had passed away suddenly, leaving Zandre the man of the house, and also leaving him with the great weight of being his father's son.
Fed up with being the one everyone looks for to fix their problems or give advice, he tells his mother alone, that he will leave to explore what's beyond.

Stats
Physicality
Zandre is toned, having always been a very active and athletic type. Since he was young, he couldn't sit still and was very active outdoors, giving him high stamina and experience with precarious situations. Ironically though, his wings are underdeveloped and so he cannot fly, having him rely solely on balance and footwork. He can't lift very much, due to his focus on training his cardio and legs. He's also kind of small-built, so he can't take attacks very well.
Personality
Unfortunately, Zandre has always preferred to be on his own, and thus isn't very charismatic or charming. He has low self-awareness, which can lead to some thinking him rude, or- frankly- a little dense.
Mentality
Since he was young, Zandre has had a thirst for knowledge. Any books he could find in the village have been read, any gadgets taken apart- and some, in his quest to learn, destroyed. However, over time, he has become very knowledgeable of small machinery and gadgets.
His Story
Zandre and his parents, their entire lives, have lived in a secluded village; nestled in the mountains, and overlooking valleys. They gather water from springs, and grow their own foods. There are merchants who travel far to barter with the tribe of avians, their foods unmatched in size and flavor. The tribe credits the land, claiming it to be blessed and sacred. Traders come bearing books, gadgets, cloth, metals, fish, and more.
The Fall of Father
Toran- Zandre's father, the strongest of the tribe and one held in highest esteem, is the main hunter. The village does not raise their own livestock, and so they hunt for their meats. Most usually, the group will bring in deer or sheep, being careful to monitor how many kills they bring home, so as not to stunt the population. However, often on the hunt, the group will be stalked- or even attacked- by predators in the area, such as wild bears. One unfortunate day, predacious bears had attacked the hunters. Usually, the attacks occur in a pair, rarely more. This time however, there was an unusually large group of four. Among the overpowered and lost, was Toran. It was a dark time for everyone.
Taking Flight
Years later, at age 18, Zandre had become fed up with responsibility and the weight on his shoulders that his father's absence had left. Having been left by the most intelligent and strong member of the tribe, others tended to look to Zandre for answers to their every problem. He thinks, no more, and prepares his mother for his leave. Packing some clothing, a pack, some necessities, and an object left by his father, he sets off with the merchants from far away to search for something new.

Clara is a kind, loving woman with a single child- Zandre. She has felt so lucky, every day for 16 years, to have been chosen by Toran- the tribe's head hunter- to be his partner. Clara and Toran have been together for 16 years, married for 13, and had Zandre only a year after their wedding. She was 19 when he was born, was 26 when she lost her husband, and is currently 41.

Toren was a strong and stoic kind of individual, with a loving wife and playful son. He had married the woman of his dreams at age 20. He had his son at 21, and unexpectedly passed on a hunt at age 28. Today, he would have been 43.

Naomi is a friendly and optimistic deer girl. Having been abandoned- or perhaps lost- at age 4, she survives by using her sweet demeanor to get what she needs or wants. At age 8, Zandre meets her in an alleyway in the rain, and he helps to get her cleaned and fed. Thankful for the help he gives her, she tags along with him just because she likes him so much, and feels safe with him. It's not too long before she starts calling him "big brother".
