Ash

Agent 4, aka Ash Niana, younger sibling of Izzy. 21, nonbinary, they/them. Usual gear is do-rag cap n glasses, baseball jersey and tea green hunting boots. Generally an extremely chill squid, Ash is a student at the Inkopolis university studying film. A stereotypical example of a student, they love a good party, and are no stranger to drinking. Once they were picked up by Marie for agent work, they started going out less, recognising the importance of being in proper form to save the city's zapfish, but was severely hungover when on the first mission after they were picked to be the newest member of the splatoon. They get along well with Izzy, but also harbour a certain jealousy towards their sister, resentful of her overwhelming competence that their parents always compared them to. They try to ignore it, wanting to maintain good relations with their sister, but it's still always there. They also hold a grudge against their parents for their prejudiced attitudes, more strongly held towards their mother, the worse of the two. Balancing university deadlines with agent work was a difficult task, and they fell behind, ending up having to retake the year - leading to feeling like a failure and exacerbating the jealousy towards the seemingly ever-perfect Izzy.
