✦ About

Archer is dry, witty, and cynical. He struggles with a lack of motivation and passion, and since being on stage is the only thing to really exhilarate him, he is craving it constantly, often to the point of exhaustion. Whenever he gets a chance to perform, he takes it. He pours all of his time into it, as it is the only thing that brings him some semblance of satisfaction. This obsession may be annoying to those around him, as it is frequently the only topic on his mind, but frankly, he’s just very excited, and he wants to relish it while he can.

In other affairs, Archer behaves quite the opposite. While discussing stagework, he is not unlike a gleeful puppy, but outside of that topic, he is almost dreary. He rarely does any work himself, mostly because he cannot find any reason to get up and do it - anything he does actively is something that he wants to do. Often, he says that he’s just here to have fun. He avoids conflict, avoids labor, avoids effort. He is little to no help in anything other than presenting (often obscenely absurd) ideas for performances.

TL;DR: Archer is lazy and disinterested, only putting effort into things he wants to do - it is those things that occupy his thoughts, his conversations, his entire life. His excitement results in a lack of common sense, leading him to often try to implement impractical, almost silly ideas.

✦ Appearance

Archer has long, black hair that is shaved on the right side. He has multiple piercings, including industrial piercings on each ear and a tongue piercing. His skin is somewhat tan, but with very strong blue undertones. He is of average height, around 5'11, and of average build: though he's not shockingly muscular, he does have some degree of lean muscle. Archer's general wardrobe consists of old clothes that are either thrifted or handed down - many of them are ratty and falling apart.

✦ Backstory

Archer didn’t really have any dreams. His family was relatively well-to-do and he was passably smart, so he was passively floating. He did what he was told: went to school, did his homework, completed tests and quizzes, ate, and slept. He had no drive to do anything in particular, no wish to move forward, so he was stuck in a vicious cycle. As a result of this monotonous lifestyle, Archer was terribly, awfully bored.

To try and find some semblance of a goal, Archer began to act out. In his first year of high school, he got tattoos, gauges, and multiple body piercings, thinking that if he could get a reaction out of people, he would find a motivation to keep doing it. Because all he really wanted was to be excited about something, to want to do something. Even if that something was maybe not the wisest, kindest decision.

Despite the changes he made, Archer still felt nothing. He was bored, his life was dreary, and worst of all he was incapable of doing anything to change it. He wanted to stop going through the motions. He wanted to end this cycle.

His emotions peaked at his school’s talent show. He and his friends signed up to perform a parody (Foxx was among them), but upon standing on the stage, Archer felt an overflow of frustration, jealousy, even rage. Why can’t I have a passion for something too? Why do I have to follow the beaten path, do the same things over and over, and feel nothing? Why does everyone else get to follow a dream when I don’t even know what mine is?

Archer tried to perform like they had in practice - he really did. But he lost focus. The crowd before him disappeared, replaced with flashing lights and a dull static. The music began playing over the speakers, and Archer couldn’t hear himself anymore. What he thought was him simply, blandly say-singing their parodised words came out as a series of piercing, low, reverberating screams.

Luckily, since it was a parody, his friends went along with it, and the audience, though shocked, accepted it as a part of their Funnyman Performance. When the music cut off, Archer was thrilled. For once in his life, he’d enjoyed himself. He wanted to do it again. The catch was, he still had no idea that he’d been fucking shouting into the mic. It took a video of the performance going viral for him to see and realize what had actually happened on stage. Determined to seek out that feeling of exhilaration again, Archer set out to learn guitar and better his vocals so that he could perform on bigger and better stages. He asked everyone he thought could help to join his journey, and eventually assembled a group that would become known as Putrefaction.

✦ Relationships
Jesse Foxx --
Reese Reese sort of behaves like an older brother to Archer. He is someone Archer feels comfortable speaking to no matter what, and can bounce any number of stupid ideas off of. In a sense, Archer becomes childlike when speaking to Reese. He at least loses braincells when talking to him, probably because Reese has enough to spare.

✦ Trivia
● Archer actually has very nice hands - he takes good care of them, and enjoys painting his nails. Though he has callouses from playing the guitar, his hands are still surprisingly soft.
● Though he acts like an annoying younger sibling most of the time, Archer has 2 little sisters and 3 younger brothers. Needless to say, they looked after him more than he did them.
● His real name is actually Felix, but he's had the nickname Archer for so long he probably wouldn't even respond to it.
● Archer's eyebags are actually makeup. He just thinks they look neat.
● He has an oral fixation, and is usually either fiddling with his tongue ring or chewing on something.
