Yankee Doodle is a young mare that loves to travel - to her delight, she gets to call a cruise ship her home. With her special talent being cooking, she spends much of her time working as a line chef and server.

Yankee is a very happy-go-lucky pony; some of her older coworkers find her to be "too much", but nobody can bring themselves to dislike her (especially when her father is their boss.) Her worst trait (and one of the few things she's actually self-conscious about) is her clumsiness - whether she's on the ground or in the air, it almost always ends in her injuring herself in some way.
