Profile

Reynard has led a colourful and unsurprisingly illegal life. Awakened into poverty, he grew up with three older sisters who often bullied him and one baby brother. From a young age, he became involved with crime, selling self-printed newspapers and picking pockets on the side. His father in the meantime showed him the ropes of the family business, bringing Reynard with him on door to door sales calls. After witnessing a particularly embarrassing incident in which his father was thrown out, Reynard resolved to never be reduced to such a humiliating position ever again.

As he grew older, Reynard changed up his game and began running errands for local gang members in exchange for some extra pocket money. Emboldened by the experience, he attempted to swindle a gang, and came out with a couple hundred crowns before he was found out. He fled on a train out of the city, without so much as saying goodbye to his family, when he was only sixteen. Since then, Reynard has travelled from place to place, running cons, selling defective or fraudulent merchandise, and getting into all manners of trouble. Though he never graduated public school, he has a fake degree from Asterion and a "legitimate" degree he "earned" from Leviathan. He frequents the town of Rosebud, where he has established something of a rapport with the town manager.

Reynard is as dishonest and sleazy as they come. He'll do just about anything to make a quick buck, including selling your own kids back to you. While he might be presumed as lazy, he puts a surprising amount of energy into what he does, which is enough to make one wonder why he does not pursue a more legal career path. Reynard is not in the business of making enemies (not unless it's worth it anyway) and tries to keep himself on everybody's good side. He's not afraid to play for pity if he thinks it will make a sale, and when the going gets tough, he gets going.
