Nanami Kokoro also known as the Cheer Hero: Starlight is a student of U.A. High School. She was formerly from the General Department's Class 1-C, but after her exemplary performance during the Sports Festival, she got transferred to the Hero department's Class 1-A.
Appearance
A taller-than-average teenage girl with a well-built and slender physique. Nanami has a long orange hair which she styles depending whether she's about to be in combat or not. She has turqouise eye color with star-shaped pupils which represent her quirk.

Personality
A person with a natural sunny and positive disposition. Nanami takes pride in being a beacon of positivity by embodying the very essence of a 'cheerleader'. She's naturally cheerful during most occasions and is generally an easy person to get along with. Despite being transferred into Class 1-A rather later into the school year, she had no problems adjusting to the new environment and was able to bond with her new classmates almost immediately.
Due to the nature of her quirk, Nanami has a self-imposed responsibility to keep her classmates' emotions and morale at the best possible condition. In a sense, she can be quite nosy at other people's personal issues and might come off as invading at times. This is most seen when she could sense that Bakugou was still under emotional turmoil from the events of their class' summer camp and her immediate action was to come to him.
Her sunny disposition often leads people into stereotyping Nanami as an 'extreme extrovert', though this might be true in a sense, but she displays more qualities of an ambivert than anything. Her aforementioned self-imposed responsibility often brings her conflict whether she should care for herself first or not. In reality, bearing the burdens of other people's emotions tires Nanami more than anything. She's often in a crisis, asking herself whether it's right to take care of herself when there are people who are seemingly having it worse than her. When overwhelmed with such dilemma, Nanami would retreat to herself for a few days by locking herself in her room to recuperate.

- Nanami hates the fact that cheerleaders are often sexualized. When Mineta starts drooling about cheer costumes, she just kicks him straight to the sky.

Due to the nature of this Quirk, it only affects living beings who still have the capacity to 'feel'. If the target is emotionally numb, the projectiles will just pass through them and not take any effect.
