Carnelian

Bio: 

One of many defective quartzes grown in the Beta Kindergarten in the midst of the Gem War, Carnelian came out defective in the eyes of Homeworld. She was small, unlike the normal quartz. She served under Pink Diamond until her shattering. While fleeing the battlefield in preparation for the Diamonds' final attack, she fled past Ghirahim, only to be caught in his protective barrier that he erected for himself as defense against the Diamonds' attack. With her Homeworld allies having fled without her, and having seen the damage of the Corrupting Light firsthand, she fell into a state of despair. It was then that Rose reached out her hand and offered Carnelian a home with the Crystal Gems. She now resides in the Crystal Temple with Steven and the Crystal Gems. 

Personality:

Like Amethyst, Carnelian is very upbeat and hyperactive, preferring to find the fun in everything rather than being serious. She look a little longer to pick up on human customs than Amethyst did, but otherwise loved hanging out with the human populations on Earth. She quickly befriends people, able to create lasting relationships with others. Unlike Amethyst, however, she has come to love and accept who she is, regardless of what others think. This is a lesson that she has tried to teach Amethyst for years. The two quartzes are much like sisters and refer to each other as such.
