Number 19: Paradise

Her appearance is exactly what she's like. Paradise is an optimistic and friendly shortie. But she has reason to be. She’s trying to live her best life while she can. Paradise has terminal brain cancer. No one knows when her time will be up so she takes it in stride. She has a bucket list and crossing items off with the help of her childhood friend, AmberJack. But with that friendship comes worry. She’s always trying to get others to live their best lives as well. First step is to stop breaking laws. She’s a rule stickler, that’s for sure. But above physical law is moral law. Her mother taught her as much. Do the right thing even when no one asks or is looking. She will scrub stains off the floor in a random store if she sees one. A little too invested but it comes from a good place. Though since these are her last days, she’s turn contemplative on what that means. Will she be repaid in an afterlife? Is there even an afterlife? It doesn’t really matter. Paradise does good because she wants to, not for any reward! At least, she likes to believe.

Her memory is getting hazy, her sight the same. There isn’t anything she can do about it, so there’s no need to worry. She just wants to leave something to be remembered by. A bit of kindness, a bit of love. It’s all she asked for and all she can offer.
