The more you get to know him the more you see he actually has a soft and warm personality, a cuddlier, and a great supporter for those who he sees as close to him. For his mate, he would never let them be cold or feel lonely

Backstory: Den was young when he was separated from his family. As a pup he couldn't really survive on his own in the snow and soon a blizzard would appear to weaken his already weak state. Soon he would collapse and the snow would start to cover him. After almost being buried completely in snow an older Rakasai would come to dig him out of the snow and carry him to his den. He happened to know how to make fire and sat dendrite near it. A day would pass before dendrite woke up, "Good you are awake, eat this." The Rakasai would push some food to Den, being a small pup and in a den with a stranger he would whine as he tried to hide but the Rakasai would stop him, "Easy there little one, you are safe, I will explain everything once you eat and rest a little." Dendrite didn't know what to do, but being a child and the Rakasai seemed friendly, he decided to eat, still being weak, would take a nap. Once he woke up the Rakasai would speak, "Awake again I see, well little one, my name is Raska, I am the guardian of this land." Den took a good look at his savior, he was a white and very old Rakasai, his tail was long and fluffy and so were his ears. His fur on the legs were long and covered his paws, he even seemed to have a little mustache and beard. The only thing not white were his soft brown eyes and black nose. Den would nod and explain to him that he got separated. Raska would think to himself, "come with me child and I'll help you find your family." Raska would let him ride on his back so he wouldn't be exhausted when walking. Den would tell him where his family was going and Raska would start heading in that direction. However when they got there, the locals said they never saw a Den's family, Raska would then travel back to his den with Dendrite and search for his family while he rested. he did find them, but he had to put them to proper rest for they got caught in the blizzard Raska found Dendrite in and they could no longer take care of Den. Raska didn't want to the pup to be upset so he lied and told him he found nothing but they might show up some day. Time would pass and Den stayed with Raska, becoming his adoptive father and teacher. Raska told him how to find food, help those that are in need, how to climb cliffs, and how to fight. As he season came and went Dendrite would get older and join Raska on his outings. However it wouldn't be a joyful one, an avalanche had started up and there was a family of pureshi that were trying to flee from it. Dendrite managed to get most of the family to a safe place and Raska got the rest but got hit by the avalanche. Once it settled Dendrite went looking for him, after digging for half a day he found Raska, weak and bleeding from him hitting rocks on the way down. He wouldn't make it and both knew it, Dendrite couldn't help be tear up as his adoptive father laid dying in the snow. "Snowflake, I may not be able to be with you physically anymore, but I will always be there for you, and I will help guide you from the realm of spirits. Know when the lights in the sky shine know that it is me saying I am proud of you. I will no longer be able to guard these lands so I leave that role to you, you are ready to take my place, do you accept?" Dendrite would nod and sniff trying to wipe his tears away, "It's ok to be sad, but know that you will never be alone." Those happened to be his last words as he smiled up at dendrite before losing consciousness. Dendrite cried for the next few days and would let his grief consume him during that time. However he heard a cry from a distance, he decided to venture out into the snow, he walked for miles before finding a Rakasai pup lost in the snow. She was a small white pup but with pink markings, easy to spot. He went to the pup and, like him, she got scared and tried to run, "It's alright little one, I won't hurt you, are you lost?" She would nod wiping her tears away. "It's ok I will help you find your family." She would try to walk near him only for sink into the snow with every step, she was made for warmer weather, not the snow. He put the pup on his back and went to where his family was heading before to see if her family had been there. By the time they got there it was sunset and a family of Rakasai were looking for their lost pup. The pup would jump from his back to reunite with her family, thanking Dendrite. He would smile at the family and leave going back to his cave. Once he got there, the northern lights had appeared and shone brighter than he ever saw them before. Remembering his father's words he would smile and sit to watch the lights as a single tear went down his face, happy to know his father truly was watching over him.
